This is an excellent hotel. It has a great location on the Via Veneto and it is very close to the Metro. The public rooms are beautiful. Our room was also very nice. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is unusually attentive and courteous. Based on this information, I would give this hotel a very high rating. The only... More

The Majestic is an older building (what in Rome isn't?) which has been thoroughly, except for the quaint elevator, modernized. The rooms are good sized and nicely furnished. The staff is friendly and efficient. There's a small bar on the "first" floor with one of the best bartenders I've ever seen. The breakfast buffet is good but not great. If... More

We stayed for two nights in this splendid period hotel. The staff were friendly and courteous and the room was spacious and very comfortable. We ate at the terraced rooftop restaurant which gave us the feel of the vibrant city. The food was exquisite and fine dining and the whole atmosphere created a memorable experience. We would certainly return there... More

This hotel is centrally located with great access to all attractions, restaurants and cafe's. There are stairs to get to elevator for any access people. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice with a nice closet and safe. The bathroom is a little small but usable. AC works well. It did take some... More

We arrived late afternoon and were promptly checked in. Reception desk staff were nice and spoke English well. The room was large and clean. Looks recently renovated but instead of wood was done in plastic like materials. We were on the first floor overlooking street view which was a little loud but had nice thick shutters to close and keep... More

I stayed in this hotel for a work event. The staff was so helpful with arranging transportation to the convention center, changing their breakfast schedule, and anything else my colleagues and I could think of from pressing shirts to recommending restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and the staff could remember everyone's drink order each morning from previous days. My room... More

Hello All, First off, I would like to say that the hotel is decent. It's not dirty and is close to the Metro stop. It has a nice rooftop where you can have drinks in the evening but that's really about it. Also, please note that it is located around a lot of restaurants that are tourist traps and the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in September - it's a good location with easy access to tour buses and decent restaurants. Claudio at reception was extremely helpful and always willing to assist . Hotel doesn't offer any outstanding features.

We just had book-end stays at the Majestic during a recent vacation in Italy. The trip began and ended in Rome and at the Majestic. Our party ranged in size from 6 to 8. Although certain aspects of the hotel's décor are tired (including a frayed rug in our room), the overall experience is luxurious: a relatively private place with... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Majestic Roma embraces its neoclassical heritage by reinventing it for the 21st century and offering guests the chance to step into a one of the city's most glamorous residences. The hotel is an original combination of styles, a study in careful contradictions that juxtaposes white lacquered pieces of furniture, rich textures and the extraordinary use of color to evoke an emotional response from all who visit. Rooms and suites show a gentle use of simple lines and almost imperceptible curves, creating a perfect blend of innovative setup style combined with classic elegance. The hotel Majestic Roma is located directly on Via Veneto, few steps from Villa Borghese, the second largest landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and city's finest boutiques. Convenient to enjoy museums, theatre, nightlife, restaurants and to reach the financial center. ... more   less
