I can't say enough about Hotel Art Deco! The entire staff made us feel right at home. We arrived at the hotel after a very long 24 hours of travel, our room was not scheduled to be available for another 3 hours. The front desk kindly took our bags, showed us to the dining room to partake in breakfast, gave... More

What a wonderful place! Stylish, friendly and accommodating! Everyone at the front desk was more than willing to help us with directions and advice and even joked around with us, we had no issues and they always knew how to get from one place to another, even where i could get my gluten free food! Breakfast was amazing- desserts, eggs,... More

Walking distance from the Termin train station if you dont mind walking about 15 minutes. Room was clean, roomy and very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi provided in the room. Full breakfast included. 5 minute walk to subway station. Highly recommend it. We even walked to Spanish steps from the hotel (about a 30 min walk).

Had a very comfortable 4 night stay here in a double room on the 4th floor. Room was directly opposite the lift, but didn't experience any noise problems. Breakfast was typical for Rome hotels, basic but more than adequate. Staff at breakfast seemed more interested in re-laying the room for lunch even though there were still people coming down for... The first thing about this hotel is that it is definetly safe: it is across the Turkish Embassy, so there are 2 guards present 24 hours a day, and the hotel receptionist is the only person who can open the hotel door, so strangers cannot enter The second thing that should be pointed out is that it is 10 min... Lot of hotels in the area but this hotel catched up my attention as its location. 5 minutes walking to Termini train and bus station which seemed to be the major one in Rome. Close to all sightseeings. Our room was fantastic, huge, and spotless, if I sincere I expected an old hotel but this was a nice surprise. Front... More

We stayed 3 nights in their triple room and we really like it. The room is adequate in size for 3 single beds. Nice, friendly and helpful staff like Gianluca at the frontdesk. Good, decent hotel in a quiet, peaceful location. It's 10-15 minute walk to Termini and nearest Metro Station. And for 1 euro takes you to the major tourist... More

Hi, We have just returned from an Italy trip and during our stay in Rome, opted for this hotel. We had prebooked and made full payment. However, when we reached the hotel, we were told that our room has been given to someone else because though they had received FULL rent for 3 days, they still thought internet bookings were... All in all a very good experience at this hotel. Rooms were small but well appointed and the tall ceilings made it feel more spacious than it was. The breakfast was very good and while it was a bit of a walk to the Metro, it certainly wasn't too arduous esp compared to the total miles logged on the pedometer... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
