We were a group of 48 Americans and we stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. The staff all spoke English and were very attentive to our needs. The lobby was small for 48 but would be great for smaller groups. The rooms vary in size from very small to really nice sized, although we had to move one couple because the shower was too small for anyone but a child or a very thin person. Others had a large tub and were very happy. The beds were very comfortable if you love an extra firm mattress, which I do! The staff was very accommodating to our requests for a different room and even provided a wheelchair for our use for 4 days, even when we traveled to Florence for the day! Two days we requested bag breakfasts and were provided with an ample breakfast to take away. The breakfast in the hotel was great with delicious eggs and meats and good bread, yogurt and cereal and fruits. They had soy milk for our lactose-free friend, gluten-free choices and plentiful coffee and tea. The staff called for taxis who arrived quickly whenever we wanted to go out at night. The location was good if you plan to use the train station (Termini) or subway and there were several restaurants 3 to 4 blocks away from the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was closed for renovations but they opened the bar at night so we had a place to relax and talk at the end of the day. All in all, we had a great stay.…
The BW Hotel Artdeco is a very pleasant hotel which is central enough to allow easy access to most tourist points of interest. The "free" hotel breakfast was great but when I began planning my 2020 vacation in Rome and checked out this hotel it appears that they DO NOT offer "free" breakfast except in association with the more expensive rooms . . . . breakfast is now 5 euros pp in the more modest accommodations which, to me, make this hotel a less attractive deal.
have had an horrible experience! the room was so cold i woke up with a flu and sore throat, room is run down, with scratches on the wall, cheap and scratched furniture, bathroom tiles had holes in it,i got a triple instead of a double
Hotel is def not a four star and overpriced for what it is. Location not ideal, and the Giancarlo at the front desk is just rude. You can do much better. All I can say is that it was clean. That said, a good restaurant called Da Vicenzo is close by.
We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel ArtDeco in Rome before boarding a ship for a transatlantic cruise. The hotel is in a good location for safety and has many embassies in the area. Even though we arrived early our rooms were ready so we could check in and rest after the flight. The room was small but clean and had a desk area. The bathroom was nice with a shower in the tub. The tub was verydeep so was a little hard to get in. The beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There were many excellent restaurants within walking distance. There was no shopping in the area except for cafes and delis. Breakfast at the hotel was only 5 euros per day and was quite good. The scrambled eggs were very tasty. I would stay here again, it was very nice.…
