Location is a huge draw (less than 5 minutes to Pantheon or Trevi Fountain) but the warm welcome from staff is equal to this as is the terrace bar/restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast / late night drink. Staff are multi-lingual but also patient and appreciative of attempts with Italian. Wifi was faultless. Breads and fresh juice were superb, and... More

Location, location, location. Excellent location for tourist. You can get to any major site by foot and easy access to a taxi for adventures further out. Room was big and very nice. We were concerned about having a hard time finding a place to eat on Christmas, as this is a very family centered holiday and most restaurants are closed.... More

The place is perfect! Great location, right price, good breakfast. It is not a 5 star hotel so don't expect it, it is right for what it's promised! Amazing terrace and the staff was very kind and helped with plans. They even suggested a very good tour company (joy of Rome) that made our stay! Recommended!

Other reviewers have said this hotel's decor is a little tired, whilst I agree, it was clean and didn't detract from our enjoyment of staying here. This hotel is perfect for a stay in the Historic Centre. I doubt if the location could be bettered. It was central to everything and yet not on a busy road. There was no... More

This is one of the best city centres hotels we have stayed in. Arrival the reception area seems a little tired and needs a quick revamp to make first appearances better. Staff were lovely, helpful, welcoming and friendly especially the breakfast waiter / waitress who can't do enough for you. The room was very spacious with black out curtains so... More

Every review speaks of location but Albergo Cesari is special for many reasons. The staff are most helpful, rooms spacious and well furnished. The rooftop is a perfect place to enjoy an evening limoncello , enjoy the city and views of the ancient buildings. Breakfast buffet includes lovely meats, cheeses, breads, hard boiled egg, cereal, coffee, espresso or cappuccino and... More

We spent 4 nights here in January and loved it! The location could not be better –walked everywhere. The hotel staff was great – friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and there was plenty to choose from. If you are sensitive to noise (like I am…) you need not worry – we were on the 3rd floor, and although the... More

We endorse previous reviews that emphasise the great location of this hotel, which is right on the main tourist walking route between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, but we also appreciated its overall good management. Our room was a decent size and well cleaned, breakfast was generous, and the staff were unfailingly helpful. We loved the recommendation for Maccheroni... More

Great location in the central between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and in the walkable distant to anywhere. The room was an antique design with a comfort bed. Loved the city view from the hotel's rooftop terrace in the morning.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
