We stayed for one night at the St Regis and the rooms were quite cosy and elegantly decorated. There was some construction going on so some areas were closed off and we didn't hear any banging or got disturbed by any noise. The breakfast selection was good and the dining area was spacious. It was my sons 14th birthday and... More

Our family (my husband and 11 year old daughter) stayed here in July 2016 for 3 nights. We had a beautiful suite with a connecting room for our daughter. Palatial! Just what we want when we stay at a St Regis. Our butler was terrific, ironing clothes, bringing morning coffee, pastries. Fresh fruit and pastries daily in the room Concierge... More

We chose to stay here instead of the Westin Eccelsior on Via Veneto where we have stayed in the past. We were greeted in the usual welcoming style . This building is old and beautiful. Everyone was pleasant but we felt that no one cared. For example, we asked for ice in our ice bucket and were told someone would... More

Beautiful hotel at an excellent location. Unfortunately, needs a lot of work. The rooms although elegant and spacious, needs a coat of paint. I would love to see the hotel restored in its splendor. It certainly has potential. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The St. Regis brand has established a reputation worldwide for being cutting edge and best in class, whether the aesthetic is contemporary or old world. The St. Regis Rome however has fallen below their brand standard, but hopefully that will soon change with their ongoing renovation. Having said this, the property is still charging its guests St. Regis prices, hence... More

Magnificent, exquisite hotel. The staff was gracious, my room, elegant, with a window on the piazza. The bed was so inviting, and the bathroom was spacious and simply fabulous. The champagne sabering in the evenings in the Ritz Ballroom is not to be missed. Such a beautiful place to call home while visiting this enchanting city.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
