NH Collection Roma Centro is one of the best hotels in Rome and most tourists may miss it because it is off the tourists' path. It is near the Vatican and well integrated in a residential neighborhood with lots of shops and eateries close to it. The staff are very friendly and personable. This hotel is going to make a difference in how you feel about your stay in Rome. It feels like home!
The hotel is well positioned to walk to most of the tourist sites in Rome. It is in a safe community with a lot of restaurants and shops near by. The hotel is a short walk to the metro and to the SIT airport shuttle. The staff are very nice and the cleaning staff did a great job. We did not eat at the hotel we preferred to use the local restaurants and bakeries.
The staff ignored us when we arrived. They were rude, unfriendly. Our room was not ready. The food was terrible. We ordered food while we waited for our room. It looked like vomit on a plate. We were unable to eat it. The waiter was rude and seemed upset we were wasting his time. The room was clean though. That is the only good thing I can say about this place. Horrible welcome to Rome even if you speak Italian. After the experience in the restaurant downstairs we did not eat the chef “welcome gift” and the wine they had poured out for us in our room smelled like red sewer water. We booked through Costco, but never coming back to this hotel.
This was our second trip to Rome, and our first time staying in this part of the city. We really liked the area. Quiet, not touristy, walkable to lots of sights, decent proximity to the subway, or you can always request a taxi at the front desk. Our flight arrived in the morning and we were pleasantly surprised to find our room was ready at around 9 am. My family of 3 had a junior suite booked and it was a very large room, with plenty of space even with the sofa bed pulled out. Really liked the double sinks as well for getting us out the door quicker in the morning. All of the staff was warm and accommodating and the breakfast buffet was great with a lot of options.
good rooms , spacious and clean bath room , good beds , friendly staff ( Alberto in front office was very helpfull) and as allways an excellent breakfast with NH hotels hotel is very good located on walking distance from vatican
The NH Collection Roma Centro is excellently located in relation to many of the things you may want to see and do in Rome. It is within relatively easy walking distance of the Vatican and the Borgo Sant’ Angelo as well as the Via del Corso and Piazza del Popolo. The immediate environs are nice, with several restaurants nearby. At least the superior rooms are fairly spacious for a hotel in Rome. However, while the hotel seems to be reasonably new in the NH collection, it is not a new hotel - it seems it was previously the Leonardo da Vinci. The age shows, also in the bathroom, but the worst feature is the near total lack of sound isolation. You hear when your neighbors come, go, or move around the room, and you hear the noise also from rooms above, below, and further away. The noise meant we didn’t have a single full and good night’s sleep during the five nights we were there. Add to this that even though we hung the “please clean my room” sign on the door when we left the room, one day it had not been cleaned when we came back at 18.00. We then had to leave the room while it was finally cleaned but had to call again for towels and toilet paper, which had not been supplied. The hotel needs an overhaul, and so does the service. The location is great, but we’ll check other hotels in the area the next time.…
Our delegation stay at the hotel was a great experience. the hotel location, cleanliness and food is excellent. The service is really great and remarkable. We would like to commend in particular Federica, Stefania and Giorgio from the Reception & Events, Fabrizio, Daniele, Veronica and Joyce at the Restaurant and Adnrea for the Security Personnel. It is a highly recommended hotel and the staff are so cordial and accomodating. Definitely we will go back with other delegation.
I booked this room two months ago and shared that I would be traveling with my 74 year old father and myself. I spoke with the front desk to confirm the rooms have two bedrooms and two shower, 1 being accessible since my father has a hard time walking and cannot step over the tub. When I arrived to the room I am now sleeping on bed from a couch and I already take meds for my back. My father cannot shower with the step over tub and his is upstairs and has to leave the room to come down to the first level of the room via elevator. We are paying over $1500 for 3 night and I this totally unacceptable. We were basically lied to about the room and I have every intention of escalating this. I could have saved. money and slept on a couch in a regular room had I known this, but I would have never looked into this as we are two adults that required 2 beds and 2 showers. I am beyond upset by this because now. my back is in pain after sleeping on this thin cheap couch and it has affected my ability to move around freely as usual.I will continue to reach out to NH to make sure they are aware of this. Never Again! In my eyes this hotel did not listen to its customers and still gladly took their money. Thank you NH for the most uncomfortable stay at a premium price! AWFUL!!…
The NH Collection Roma Centro is located close to a underground station. And in 15 minutes you can reach the Vatican or the Engelsburg (walking). Around the hotel you could find several bars and restaurants. The breakfast offers all what you need to start in the day. Our room in the 5th floor was bright and friendly furnished. The beds were large and rather soft. We like the standards from NH Hotels
Our reserved hotel was a total fraud (we were refunded by Destinia) but that still left us without a reservation. We were able to book here for the next few nights and the night concierge came out to the car to let us know a guest had checked out early and we could have the room. Room was large and more than adequate for our needs. We walked almost everywhere - restaurants close by but we did walk to Vatican and Colesseum (a little over a mile). Trevi Fountain, Spanish Staircase etc all walking distance if you like. Or short $10 taxi ride. Excellent customer service.
