This hotel was a great place to stay. Margherita was unbelievably helpful when we arrived, pointing out all the best things to see and how to get to all the major attractions, as well as local restaurant recommendations. As we mainly used the hotel just to sleep in each night, it was perfect. Clean, simple and pastries provided for breakfast...

Our family of four stayed here for four nights during our visit to Rome. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and the customer service is superb. It is a fifteen minute walk to the train station, a ten minute walk to the metro, and the tram is located just outside the hotel's front door. The owner, Margherita, is very helpful,...

Not a regular hotel, a family run business makes you feel very at home. Room and bathroom was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay and the owners are very nice ready to help you. Could not ask for any better. It is situated in a perfect location with easy access to public transport. Thank you.

Location is extremely good - very well connected by bus and tram. Roma Centrale station is 15 mins walk. Metro station is 10 min walk. Rooms are well maintained - extremely clean. Linen, Towels, toiletries - everything in order. TVs in both the rooms. I took the 2nd floor apartment - had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a well appointed...

This B&B is very clean and well decorated which makes us feel like home. The room is spacious and the toilet is superb (with washing machine as well). We love everything in our room! Besides, our host Margherita is always cheerful, friendly and helpful who gave us lots of travelling tips! The only downside of this B&B is probably its...

Good location, service is second to none. We felt welcomed as it we were family - they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. However, I think for us it was a case of getting the worst room in the best house. We had the semi-basement room at the front and the street noise was just awful. Fitting the two...

This b&b is run by a really friendly family. On arrival we were given a warm greeting and details of how to get around and what to see. There are really good bus links just around the corner and the termini station is a straight 20 minute walk away. The room was nicely decorated and modern with a great en...

What a great place. Margarita (the owner) was so friendly and welcoming giving us a detailed introduction to Rome. Being our first time in Rome my wife and I found this info invaluable...from details of the Romapass right down to which bus/tram to catch and where from etc. Very helpful indeed! The room itself was comfortable and spotless. The wifi...

Even though I was really worried about staying in the area of the B&B but Margarita (the owner) made me feel relaxed from the first moments with her amazing hospitality. The room is quite spacious, clean, well designed and decorated, with all the necessary stuff you might need. At this B&B you can experience the life in a Roman house....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
