Plus: Individual, pretty, Italian style small hotel. Very friendly personnel. Great location, 5 min. walk to Collosseo and little supermarket, 10 min. Metrostation (2 stations to Termini, there train to airport) and all kinds of restaurants at the doorstep. Wonderful liittle uphill park just nearby. Quiet street, quiet hotel, except for the cleaning staff that seemed rather loud. Tiled floor... More

The rooms here are comfortable and good value for the money. A nice continental breakfast was offered with breads, fruit and cereal. I appreciated that they had soy milk too! Best of all is the staff. They were very courteous and hospitable.

We were on the second floor with a beautiful terrace just for our room. The hotel is a coupe blocks from the Colessum. The hotel staff went our of their way to make sure we were happy. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Rome!

I bring small groups to Italy. After staying at the Hotel Lancelot 12 years ago, I never stayed anywhere else. It is a great property, with immaculate rooms and a lovely dining room for dinners and breakfasts. The owners and staff are topnotch. These guys know Rome like the back of their hand, and speak perfect English. The location is... More

The room was large and very comfortable. The neighbourhood was eclectic and trendy, and best of all the staff was perfect. They also helped us with several other things before we even arrived including restaurant recommendations and reservations.

Have just spent a week with my wife and two teenage children. The hotel was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. The owner Mrs Khan, the chef and all the staff were just fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. Advice on how to get places, places to eat etc. Evening meals fantastic and great value-... More

This quaint hotel makes you feel right at home...exactly what we hoped Rome would be! Be sure to go to 6th floor terrace for an afternoon glass of wine overlooking the coliseum! Our first time there and could not have been more pleased with staff, room and locale. Breakfast included

We stayed in this hotel earlier this month. Did a lot of research while identifying the places to stay and ended up booking Hotel Lancelot. Undoubtedly, there is a lot of warmth in the air as soon as you enter the premises. Rooms are about average size, colosseum is nearby and so is quite a few other landmarks/ monuments. Unfortunately,... More

Hotel Lancelot is located a couple of blocks off of the main street bordering the Colosseum. Excellent location! There are several wonderful restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Metro stop that is 10 min away walking. Our room was plain but comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small, but the shower was hot and towels were big. The... More

We did a lot of research before choosing a hotel in Rome for our July 7-9 stay and ended up at the Hotel Lancelot. And I have to say - we chose well! This is a beautiful small hotel. Fabrizio, Francesca and the rest of the staff were all fantastic to work with. Nothing was too much to ask. The... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
