I stayed here for 10 days on mainly business (conference trip). I had to go to St Peter's Basilica many times. It does take 45 minutes to get there but the walk is great. You go passed old monuments. It really is quite pleasant. It is close to the Trevi fountain, really close to the Roman Forum and Colloseum. The... More

Lovely decor, with clean environments yet having a comfortable feel to it. VERY CENTRAL. Helpful staff. Very complete Breakfast. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Very good sound insulation. Complementary guides of Rome(and Italy) so one can study the routes and the monuments before you leave the Hotel. Well worth the price!

Don't go past this hotel if you're looking for a great position, very friendly and helpful staff and a pretty, well-appointed boutique hotel. I and my 14 year old daughter stayed here from Australia in mid-January 2016 and notwithstanding that I had slightly confused reception with my booking, we received an upgraded room for the trouble that was of my... Guys I spent a lot of time on this site looking for the perfect hotel. I'm glad I did because Nerva was amazing! Clean, beautiful, comfortable, great staff and an amazing location. I walked everywhere from the hotel. As a solo traveler I felt safe too, which was important. I only wish they had tea and coffee facilities in the... More

The hotel is very conveniently located if you spend just few days in Rome. It's on a quiet street next to all main sights so you can just walk around to explore Rome. Hotel staff was very friendly and provided a list of recommendations for restaurants which turned out to be good and useful! The best thing making Nerva a... More

We stayed here in August 2015 and it was in a great location near to the collosseum. Nice clean, modern room with quiet air con which was a plus. Booked what we thought was a double room which turned out to be a twin but that is only criticism. Would definitely recommend for a sightseeing tour in Rome.

We stayed here in early January in room 207 and it was the best hotel pf of our holiday! Upon arriving staff took the time to explain the local area and sites to us and provided a list of restaurant and bar suggestions. We tried many of these suggestions during our stay, including several local restaurants and a gelato shop... More

Having read so many positive reviews on TA as well as various blogs, I was really excited for some down time at this hotel for final leg of our 3 week European vacation. My fiancé was coming down with a headcold so R&R is what we were hoping for in a cute boutique hotel. This did not happen... A few... More

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with a citytrip to Rome. Thanks to Tripadvisor we found this little hotel, within walking distance from the Colosseum, Palatine and Roman Forums. The hotel itself is tiny, but oh-so beautiful and very charming. Upon booking the hotel, I got a friendly email through which they not only confirmed the reservation... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
