As a couple we enjoyed our 5 nights stay in this hotel. The price, location, staff, breakfast worked for us very well. We booked a superior room with a bathtub, and it was really nice choice, comfortable and big enough bedroom and spotless as well big enough bathroom. I didn't give the highest mark only because we couldn't chill out... More

I stayed at the Britannia Hotel for two nights and it was a nice hotel. It wasn't a top notch hotel so if you're looking for that, I suggest a hotel in Via Veneto. I booked this hotel because it was close to the terminal station and it was a comfortable hotel for a great price in Rome. The area... More

We stayed for a week, and it was a really pleasant one. We booked a superior room (309), which was quite big for a room in the city, a wooden floor and a very big bathroom. The breakfast is nice , but everyday is the same. The coffe is from an automatic machine, and this is something I would of... More

My better half and I stayed in the Britannia hotel for a week on holiday. We had a terrific room that was spacious with high ceilings. The staff at every level were wonderful and welcoming with nice personal touches including noticing my birthday was during our stay so I was serenaded and presented with balloons and birthday cake to celebrate.... Very nice room with balcony. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice Breakfast. Great location - 20 minute walk to the Coliseum and 45 minutes to the Vatican. Very convenient to the train station. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We spent 4 nights post cruise this November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire hotel appears impeccably clean, bright and tastefully furnished. Our room, 403, was large and well equipped, with a spacious and quite private balcony where we put on a sweater and enjoyed a drink each evening before heading out for dinner. Location is great - an... More

Stayed in a superior room for 3 nights. We arrived by taxi (€48) from Fiumicino quite late in the evening but received a friendly welcome on checking in, a map and suggestions what to visit as it was our first time to Rome and recommendations of where to eat locally (which we took and were very good!) The room wasn't... More

Wonderful, friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Great location, within walking distance of Trevj, Spanish Steps, and Termini. Our room was on the small side but it was comfortable. Bed was comfortable.

What a pleasure to spend time at this beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Rome. We were minutes from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, and around the corner from the opera house. Breakfast was a treat each morning, with a wonderful spread and accommodating staff. The desk staff, especially Mario, were a large part of making our visit... More

The hotel has a lot of charm .Our room was very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast. It has a small bar where you can get glass of wine or a cocktail. The are mini refrigerators with water and soft drinks in the rooms. The location was convenient to restaurants and transportation. We would stay there again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
