A really charming hotel. Yes the rooms may be a bit small and their lift antiquated but the excellent service staff, tasteful decor and good breakfast makes one feel like a minor royalty in this solidly 4 star establishment. A classy place. Location is a 7 minute walk to Termini station.

Family stayed here for 4 nights. Wonderful experience. Rooms were spacious, neat and clean with very comfortable beds and good clean bathrooms. Staff were very friendly, supportive and service oriented - all of them went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Good breakfast menu. Beautiful, well laid out, exclusive hotel. Overall a great experience - well worth... More

Hotel was clean and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice. Staff were really helpful in advising places to visit and transport systems. Rome had the wow factor for us with all the historical places to visit. Good food at reasonable prices.

Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. It's a nice perq to have the first round of anything in the minibar complimentary. The breakfast was very good and we all found something we liked. We arrived early in the morning before our room was ready. They allowed us to have the breakfast even though we technically were not eligible... More

We checked out of this hotel and driving away I said to my husband "I can't wait to stay there again!". The rooms are immaculate and classy. Bathroom is gorgeous and bed is super comfy. The best part of this hotel was the service provided by every staff member we encountered. The service was 5 star. We felt like VIP's... More

Upon arrival, the receptionist was most friendly and helpful, explaining everything in great detail and providing us with a map. The room was a great size and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was of great variety and very tasty, The location was fantastic - 10 minutes walk from Termini, as well as most main attractions being in walkable distance.... More

We stayed at The Britannia Hotel for 3 nights in March. This is a cracking hotel in a perfect location. We were travelling on to Venice by train so wanted somewhere fairly central and close to Roma Termini. We arrived late after a delayed flight and were warmly welcomed by the night manager. We had some issues with electricity in... More

I was unsure about this hotel when booking, but was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was in a good location, off Via Nazionale, with breakfast included. While hotel looks old downstairs, the room was recently modernised. Staff were incredibly friendly, spending time with us to plan our trip and making sure we didn't miss any of the sites or good areas.

I arrived in the afternoon...the location is not to far from Rome Central Station, but you need to get the simple main road to reach here. A warm welcome provided by the receptionist...specially when I mentioned 'our anniversary is today' my little surprise to know the luxury room is tiny but very comfortable for two persons. The location is perfect...... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for our first time in Rome. This boutique hotel is located on a quiet street off of Via Nationale. About a 15 minute walk from the Termini train stop. There are not that many dining options in the area, and things are very quiet at night - not an ideal neighborhood... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
