Had an amazing few days visiting in Rome and staying in this lovely hotel. Breakfast was lovely, and the rooms were ideal. Had a fantastic sleep both nights. Ten minutes walk from termini station and only a short distance from the historic area.

Had a great 5 night stay here. Excellent service, and well located for many of the attractions in Rome. Reception desk staff were very helpful in particular, and the attentions of housekeeping also very good. Super breakfast, kept you going all day. Would definitely recommend. We had a classic room, so a bit more space.

Not so far away from city of Rome. Great service and very good breakfast you get in your room with little additional costs. Helpful employees and discount, if you pay in cash! Driver, that drove us from airport was nice too.

What else can you want or need from a City break hotel? The staff were all extremely friendly and we even received a welcome drink in the bar as we waited for our room to become ready... I was expecting a cheeky charge upon checkout and extremely happy when nothing was on there. The location really was good access to... More

This hotel is much smaller than it looked in the pictures, but I gave it 5 stars because they made us feel welcome and it has an old world charm that's nicely maintained. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of of hot and cold options. Nicely located with walks under 30 minutes to the Colosseum and Forum one direction,... More

The Britannia Hotel was a perfect choice for our first trip to Rome! The location was great, close to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the train station. Great breakfasts and excellent service. They gave us great suggestions for restaurants, ordered our taxi rides and helped us organize our time as we traveled around the city. I will definitely stay... More

Stayed in this hotel July 2016 and again in August 2016, the staff are extremely helpful, the rooms are a good size and in the style of a boutique hotel. The Location is excellent approx a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and the Roman forum. 35 minute walk to the Vatican in the other direction. Breakfast was included and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
