This place was fantastic! The staff were wonderful and very helpful throughout the whole stay. The room was very nice and the location was perfect for walking to every attraction in Rome! I could not recommend this place more and would definitely visit again!! Book direct and it is slightly cheaper!

Old family apartment converted into 3 spacious(!) rooms in the heart of Rome. Walked to virtually everything within 15 minutes. Great family feel with 5+ star hospitality from Emilio and Marco. Awesome recommendations from the locals who grew up in the neighborhood where everyone knows their names. By the end of our stay, I was calling it home.

My wife and I have stayed here many times. It continues to be really the only place to stay when visiting Rome. In Rome you could pay two or three times what the rates are here but get much less. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and provide everything you need for the perfect stay. It is family run... More

An exceptional hotel and an incredible staff with positive, helpful, and friendly attitude at ALLLL times. I have traveled to many countries and have stayed in many hotels worthy of recognition and praise. Locanda del Sole is one of them, and I am sure that it will remain to be one of my all-time favorites. It is not easy to... More

My husband and I stayed at the fabulous Locanda Del Sole in late April. I have been disappointed by other hotels in Italy so I chose Locanda del Sole as a result of reviews on Trip Advisor. It was a perfect choice! As previous reviews have said, Emiliano and Marco are wonderful hosts, treating us like treasured friends, always ready... More

After making the long flight from the US we were so happy to see our driver and make our way through the bustling city streets of Rome. Be prepared to look for this hotel as there is only a small gold plaque next to a large wooden door. I had to help the driver find it then again after we... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the fabulous Locanda Del Sole for my 40th birthday at the beginning of April. My boyfriend arranged it all and actually chose the Locanda del Sole as a result of the reviews on Trip Advisor - I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home,... More

This charming lodging was at the heart of our fantastic trip in Rome. It's location is perfect (90 second walk to piazza novana) our bedroom was spotless, bed very comfortable and the shower was brilliant. The host Marco met us on arrival and guided us through Rome and recommended lovely restaurants nearby. Immediately we felt at ease and as if... More

The service, the location and the personal touch make this a great spot for a weekend getaway. My room was comfortable, the breakfast nice and cozy. There was another couple staying and sharing breakfast time with them was an additional treat. With a location near the River, the pantheon, the Vatican and the Spanish steps, you couldn't find a better... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
