What can I say, this is one of the finest Hotels in Rome, it is at the top of the Spanish Steps, which by the way, while we were there, were close for restoration work. The service is fantastic, the crowd that stays there is definitely worth people watching. It has a terrace on the 7th floor, which has beautiful... More

Location, location, location - it is probably the best in Rome -and just gorgeous to be a guest...... The rooms are 'old world gorgeous' - all with windows (and shutters) either facing the Spanish Steps or the Hotel's own courtyard that can be opened to the day to allow the gorgeous fresh air in along with the wonderful hum that... We stayed four nights in June 2016. The welcome on check-in was excellent. Our room was very nice with an outdoor terrace which was facing inside, but nice nonetheless. Then service became less than ideal. A call for an ice bucket with ice required calling three times and waiting one-half hour. Later, we wanted to have a drink at the... More

We spent two nights here on a flying visit to take a private small group tour of the Sistine Chapel. The hotel is perfectly sited, at the top of the Spanish Steps, to give a wondrous view from its 6th floor terrace across the Roman skyline from the Quirinale to St Peter's and everything in between. The terrace is for... More

Never imagine a luxury hotel provided such kind of poor service to guests! This was started from the manner of doorman who eye scanning us, from head to toes, for 3 times before we got into the hotel without giving any reason!! Highly not recommended to this hotel!!

I've stayed in the best hotels all over the world and the Hassler stands with them. The entire staff is PHENOMENAL. They remember your name, your preferences, etc. I hurt my back and every morning at breakfast they would set me up in a special seat with a cushion and ice pack. Rooms were great and bigger than most Roman... More

My son and daughter in law recently had their wedding reception at this fabulous hotel. It was amazing! We were greeted like royalty and whisked up to a rooftop terrace with views to die for. The staff were so attentive yet were very unobtrusive and the food!....it was the best meal I've had in a very long time. Every detail... More

Perhaps my expectations were too high, having stayed at beautiful hotels in Rome (the St. Regis, Splendide Royal, Excelsior (when it was "newer", etc.), but the hotel, especially the service, fell short. For these prices, I expect a doorman at all times, someone to offer to carry my shopping bags when I arrive with my hands full, etc. We had... More

The Hassler Hotel is a great hotel with really good rooms and facilities. The staff are very helpful and kind; will help you whenever you need. They also helped us reserve a few restaurants and arrange a pick up service from the Airport. The michelin star restaurant IMAGO was also super good, a must try in my opinion.

Lovely hotel, but overpriced. Hassler is rated as having one of the six best bars in Italy. Bar is CLOSED during the summer, because they feel that people want to be on the patio. Wrong. It sprinkled, and there were birds flying onto our table, and a big family with four kids running and playing hide and see. The bar... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
