Excellent hotel in a perfect location. The staff at this hotel were extremely nice and accommodating. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Rome. There are plenty of shops and historical locations within walking distance of this hotel.

With Covid taking the world by storm and us as health care workers, front line workers, it was time we did some self care and took a trip to our most favourite country in the world. We had stayed at the Hassler before about four years ago and had a great experience. This time was no different. We felt welcome as soon as our driver pulled up at the front doors. The reception area spotless, so clean and everyone was very welcoming. We arrived early in the day and we were not expecting our room to be ready. They registered us, let us change into appropriate walking clothing and gave us water bottles and a map and set us on our way. We walked the cobble stone streets until our fatigue kicked in. We returned to The Hassler, up those spectacular Spanish steps, 138 of them. We went to the reception desk and our room was ready and what a room indeed. We were in room 506. We had a balcony, the most beautiful bathroom, the comfiest of beds. The experience at the hassler was so special. We will definitely return.

Hotel Hassler lives up to its reputation as being one of the finest in Rome even after so many years. The rooms were all recently renovated and are very elegant and spacious with high ceilings and incredible views. The location is unparalleled at the top of the Spanish Steps. Surprisingly, even though it is one of the "fancier" hotels in Rome, it is boutique enough that the staff call you by name and remember small details and are very attentive. The breakfast was fantastic. We only stayed here 1 night on our way out of Italy but I would definitely stay here again and for longer. 5 star all the way.

My husband and I are no strangers to Rome; it is one of my favorite cities in the world. My Italian heritage keeps me endlessly curious about Italy, and Rome is the perfect springboard with plenty of direct flights from the US. This past May marked my fifth visit to the eternal city, and I must say I’ve yet to find a hotel to call home base, until now. The Rome hotel scene (being brutally honest) is tough. Prices are always high, and I’ve always left feeling like expectations were never 100% met. Hotel Hassler is the first five-star experience I’ve had in Rome that exceeded my expectations. Why on earth did I wait so long to stay here? There’s something magical about Hotel Hassler, and it begins when they pick you up. On this journey, we arrived fresh from Capri via a Naples train, and the hotel met us at Termini with a Range Rover Long Wheelbase. The vehicle glided over Rome’s cobbled streets while we cooled off with some water and a solid playlist of thumping lounge music. The gentlemen working the front door gave us a warm welcome, took the bags and escorted us to check in. The warm nature of the hotel’s team continued during a swift front desk check in process, congratulating my husband on his 40th birthday. After a brief tour of the public spaces, we were swept up the express elevator to the top floor. Our room was beyond expectation. A little bit small on internal space, but for good reason. Not only was our Leading Hotels of the World status acknowledged with an upgrade, but the team gave us their only non-suite room with a private top-floor terrace. The terrace was massive – you could seat eight for dinner easily. The view over the Spanish Steps and beyond took my breath away, and the only thing we could think to do was sit and enjoy a bottle of champagne before venturing out. I was so surprised that on my fifth trip to Rome, we found a slice of heaven and a new perspective of the city. Aside from the fantastic terrace and view, the room had all the trimmings you expect – silent/cold air conditioning, walk-in closet, sumptuous bedding, wonderful in-room technology including mobile phone casting to the TV, padded/upholstered walls, and of course a large bathroom dripping in marble. We originally had a table booked at Imago for our first evening, but we had so many fine dining meals the past ten days, we decided to cancel and keep things simple. This brings me to the hotel’s food and beverage program on the secluded back terrace. What a respite from the madness of Rome! Gorgeous atmosphere, plenty of shade and a huge all-day dining and cocktail menu. We had dinner here twice, afternoon cocktails here each day and several night caps. I couldn’t get enough of the people watching and ambiance. The service was impeccable. The food was executed with perfection, and cocktails were mixed with precision. For our final days in Italy when one begins to miss home, the robust selection of Roman specialties and international favorites allows one to have a burger to cure homesickness while the other devours a delightful pasta treat. I’ll always remember walking home to Hotel Hassler and the glamorous, grand feelings one has strolling up the Spanish Steps to Rome’s most iconic hotel address. It’s magic you only find in Rome. I cannot wait to return to Rome for adventure number six, and our second stay at our home, Hotel Hassler. Thanks for a wonderful stay! -Daniel & David

We stayed 5 nights in late June, when Rome was steaming in 100+F weather, Hassler was a true and calming oasis from the heat, bustle and crowds. First class service all around, truly helpful staff, wonderful recently renovated accommodations. A challenging climb up the 100+ steps but worth it.

I’m staying there every time now. They remembered me from previous stays, upgraded room, and saved us at the airport. So beautiful and fantastic location. Super recommendations for dining out. Beautiful bar. Perfect breakfast. I can’t wait to go back!

We had to extend our stay at the Hassler Hotel due to a rental car issue and I am so glad we did! We had a fabulous, recently updated room with a view of the Spanish Steps and a huge closet and bathroom! We had such a fabulous stay that I am having difficulty deciding what to include in this review. The rooftop bar is out of this world at sunset time. I tried to go each evening for aperitivo before we headed out to dinner. The view is unparalleled. I worked closely with the head concierge, Daniele, on many things including reservations each evening here. He always delivered with a lovely table reserved often just for me as my partner had to work at times. Daniele also helped us secure transportation to other areas on very short notice and the caliber of transportation was fantastic both the cars and the drivers. I also needed to organize restaurant reservations last minute and Daniele organized it all without issue and each restaurant we had a fabulous table. Highly recommend working with the concierge at the Hassler- truly 5 star service and assistance! The only downside of the hotel is the food- we had breakfast included and tried it once, but opted to dine out after that. Aperitivo is fantastic here, but skip any main meal.

You know how there's a hotel you have always wanted to stay at, and really looked forward to seeing and then were disappointed that it did not meet your expectations? Well that is NOT the case here. I have been wanting to stay at the Hassler for a while and can't imagine that there is anyplace I would love more. The location is perfect, the service, perfect too. It is like an oasis, it really is! We had a little balcony overlooking the Spanish steps - what could be better? Yes this is a spendy place but it was worth it.

My wife and I have been to Rome before, but never stayed at The Hassler. We always knew about it but made the mistake of not staying there before. Upon check in, the reception staff was welcoming, friendly, professional, and super nice. They escorted us to our room, and with patience and a smile explained the services and answered our questions. Our room was recently renovated and offered all the modern conveniences we expected. The room was small but was designed and furnished in such a way to accommodate all our needs. Our room featured a balcony overlooking the Spanish Steps which we used for breakfast and in the afternoon to watch all the tourists milling about. The entire hotel staff, including the room service waiters, housekeeping, doormen, and concierge were easy going, professional, and saw to our every need. We were surprised for we were expecting them to be a bit more snobbish, and only accommodating for tips. To the contrary, they were fantastic with or without a tip. There is nothing negative to write about the Hassler. The location is supreme, the service incredible, and the rooms idyllic. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Rome.
