We were fortunate enough to have stayed here last week for three nights, as the final part of our Italian honeymoon, and we were certainly not left feeling disappointed. The Hassler provides a wonderful oasis of quality and serenity in the always busy eternal city. It's a true 5* hotel, one that gives the best possible quality to all of... More

We have just returned from our second stay at the Hassler and it continues to truly impress. First, the location and view are worth visiting the hotel, bar or restaurant simply to experience the unparalleled views of Rome. However, for guests of the hotel, many of the rooms are literally overlook the Spanish Steps with perfect views of St. Peters.... More

We return to Rome each summer after being on the Amalfi coast for 3 weeks. Hassler feels like our final Italian dolce before heading home. We are given the same room each year, which is enjoyable and feels like home. The service is top notch the staff welcoming and wanting to please. The concierge is one of the best, always... More

We spent five nights at the Hassler and the stay was really lovely. The rooms aren't huge, but they are clean, well kept, the bathrooms lovely and the views spectacular (depending on the room). We booked through Amex Fine Hotels and although our rooms weren't upgraded (we had two rooms), they were more than adequate - the deluxe with a... More

The only thing this hotel got going is the location. I always book my accommodation with Amex Fine Hotels & Resort and this hotel is the first one I am disappointed with. I was given a terrible room, and then after changing rooms to an OK version of the previous one we realized that we were given a room right... More

OK, the Spanish Steps are currently undergoing renovation... But the location is still the epicenter of Rome, and The Hassler is the only luxury hotel perched at the top of the steps. Before staying, we were only worried that the Hassler itself might not live up to its 5-star location. Worry no more...this is one of the finest city hotels... More

They say don't give away your secrets and they're right. The Hotel HASSLER is beyond perfection. Perhaps located in the most sought after location, tucked right on top of the Spanish Steps. There is an adjacent building located right beside the steps called Il Palazzetto which is part of the HASSLER hotel. There you will find a rooftop bar overlooking... More

We have been to Rome many times and wanted to stay in this area this time. We chose the Hotel Hassler for location and reputation and it did not disappoint. Even thought the Spanish steps are currently closed, the location is great and walking distance (even in the heat) to many things. If not, taxis are readily available. The hotel... More

What a wonderful and charming old world hotel. The position could not be any better i.e. within walking distance to all the sights we wanted to see again. Service was excellent. Weather was warm when we were there so we had breakfast in their garden room. We had a meal in the Imago Restaurant which we enjoyed. Although we were... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
