What a wonderful hotel to stay in! The pictures don't lie, the Pantheon really is right outside the door, making it a convenient location for all of central Rome. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the rooftop bar offers a quiet space to enjoy views over the city with a glass of prosecco. A good choice of breakfast is available, including a wide variety of cakes and pastries, which were kindly introduced to us by the very friendly Valentina! You really do eat well in Italy! The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are extremely patient when you try to practice your Italian! In addition to Valentina, we would like to mention in particular Alessandra, Iulia, Luca, Michele, and Carlos. The delightful staff at this hotel really made our experience extra special, the cherry on top of a wonderful holiday. We were very impressed by their Covid security measures and felt safe the entire time. We hope to be able to return again soon!

There's no better site for a hotel in Rome, and l'Albergo del Senato occupies its place with style and dignity. It's immaculately clean, and obviously recently refurbished; while at the same time avoiding a bland international feel. The room was comfortable, and in the height of August the air-conditioning made it a good place to regain your cool after a day of sightseeing - as, indeed, is also the lounge on the ground floor which looks out directly on to the Piazza della Rotunda. The staff were competent, friendly and old-world courteous. The lack of a restaurant is no problem - there are so many trattorias and bistros in the area that you're spoiled for choice. Socially distanced breakfast is strange, but you just sit down and whatever you ask for is brought to you promptly by a friendly and careful waitress. I'm glad to have found this hotel - I'm already looking forward to a return visit

Just checked out of 3 lovely nights at the Albergo Del Senato and I only have praise for the hotel. The location is superb. You are practically Inside the Pantheon, waking up and opening the windows and seeing the pantheon is something we will never forget. The room and bathroom are VERY clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked and that is so important for me. Beds were comfortable. Staff is friendly and welcoming and the included breakfast is very good. Grazie Mille!

This hotel is terrible. Old and smells awful: the staff are extremely rude . Stay anywhere else. Staying outside would be better than this place. I can’t say enough bad things about this place and how they treat their guests

Response from , Direttore generale at Albergo del Senato
Responded Aug 9, 2020
Dear Guest, I am a bit perplexed by your review, first of all as our property is completely refurbished and furthermore we do pay careful attention to cleaning the rooms as well as common areas. To give you an idea, in this delicate period we follow the most accurate prevention protocols and after every departure the chambers are subjected to an ozone treatment. Rome is not crowded this summer and as the occupation is not very high we have more time than usually to dedicate to our guests. In any case, customer service has always been our strength, obviously it's impossible to satisfy everyone 100%. At this point I ask myself the question, either it's a bad joke or the review is for the wrong hotel?? By remaining at your disposal, with kind regards Ann Johansson Deputy Manager
