Very helpful front desk, they all spoke very good English. We ended up with a suite, even though we booked a standard room---very pleasant surprise. Location is adjacent to the Pantheon, so you are right in the middle of things for the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Tivoli Fountain and Roman ruins. My guess is that the hotel was built in a... More

We started our 2 week trip in Italy with our stay in Rome. What a terrific start to our trip! Through the hotel, we arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. Everything went so smoothly! Our check in went smoothly. We felt welcomed and informed upon arrival . Marco was especially wonderful! The location is fantastic as... More

We had a room that overlooked the plaza and the Pantheon . It was like having our own live entertainment system . There were parades , live music and more right outside our window. Even with all that , if we closed our windows we could not hear a thing. The room was small, but your in the wrong city... More

You won't find a better location for your stay, We stayed in a triple room toward the back of the hotel, it was just great for us with plenty of room. We walked everywhere and when we were tired we simply took a cab, which BTW the taxi stand is right out the front door. Trevi fountain is five away... More

Got upgraded to a great room with with a balcony! Great location and loved the roof top bar. You can easily walk to any location or site. Loved the French church that is nearby. Staff was very helpful. Overall, great stay.

The stay at the Albergo del Senato was perfect on every level. All the staff were really friend and helpful with useful tips on where to go to avoid the lines for the sites and where best to eat. The room, 206, was fantastic, with views right out onto the square and pantheon. Could not have asked for more. There... More

We stayed at this hotel which is located in the historical part of Rome for 3 nights. It is situated on the Piazza della Rotunda right next to the Pantheon ... in fact, you literally could not be any closer to this amazing historical site. It is a elegant hotel in a 19th century palazzo. It was great being able... More

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful location. Nicely decorated rooms and spacious bathrooms. Love it. Highly recommend! Can't beat the views of the Pantheon! The hotel is centrally located to many of Rome's top sites.

We recently stayed two nights at the Albergo del Senato for our first time in Rome. It was lovely -- the location was perfect, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were renovated, clean, quite roomy, with very large ensuite bathrooms. The hotel itself is very nice, and the staff are very helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. The true gem... More

We stayed for two nights. Location is very good, right next to the Pantheon and a 7 euro ride to the Colloseum. Concierge was good, the room was a bit small for two people with a suitcase each but manageable for two nights. I guess that's the balance for a central Rome hotel. Good value, if it was the same... Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
