Amazing hotel in the heart of piazza Navona can't be in a better location! . Rooms ok not massive but who's in Rome to sit in the room! . Breakfast is basic but keeps you going to lunch and amazing coffee with nice rooftop view whilst eating . Be sure to make sure your key is kept safe as you... More

Very good room, wonderful breakfast terrace and breakfast, fantastic location, very good service at a very reasonable price. The elevator is a great plus, as is the air conditioning. Will definitely come back.

Perfect location, clean, comfortable, helpful service, and includes basic breakfast on a roof top terrace. Italian coffee was great! Only negative was the noise outside since our room was on the street side.

We began our week in Rome at a hotel near the Spanish Steps, and we moved mid-week to the Portoghesi. What a delightful hotel! We much preferred being in a residential neighbhorhood with shops and restaurants all around. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and we didn't need to take one taxi. Everything you need--gelatto, pasta, pizza, wine,... More

This is a boutique hotel, a quiet oasis of cool serenity after a hot day of pounding over Roman cobblestones! The location is perfect, for those who want to walk to local sites. It is less than a 5 min. walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Trevi Fountain. We found that certain times of the day--especially late afternoons--all of... More

Hotel Portoghesi is in the heart of Piazza Novona. The location couldn't be better for me and my family. It is walking distance to so many restaurants and sites. We stayed in a small suite for the 4 of us. It was a bit tight but we managed. You're not in Rome for the size of your room anyway -... More

This quaint, quiet hotel has standard two person rooms, but if you ask, they have a four person apartment available, too. We just stayed there in late June 2016 and it has air conditioning, wi-fi, and its own entrance, in the alley just next to the hotel. Two bedrooms, a foyer and a nice size bathroom. We had a small... Small exquisite hotel in the very hear of Rome, 5 mins to The Pantheon, 15 mins to St Peters (and I mean walking!). Lovely breakfast on the roof, but no restaurant, however there are 10 within him 3 mins of hotel. Rooms are small but perfect, air conditioning excellent (it was 39 degrees outside) and bathroom modern. Perfect for a... More

My wife and I spent a most enjoyable week in this hotel in June 2016. It is a well run establishment, clean and comfortable, with first class service. We are in our 70s and like our comforts. There is a communal sitting room on the ground floor and an attractive roof terrace for breakfast. Only criticism is that the rooms... More

We planned to stay in Rome for two nights after our cruise and thought we had booked a different hotel. The night before before our arrival we realized the reservation did not go through so I called Hotel Portoghesi. Fortunately, they had a small apartment downstairs perfect for my husband, daughter and myself. It was wonderful. Perfect location and lovely... More
