Lovely little place in a great area. Good restaurants nearby, close to the great sites. Breakfast not tremendous, but decent. The folks at the front desk were very attentive. Complaining that folks smoke outside the hotel is like complaining that people are speaking Italian in Italy. There is no smoking in the hotel, in Italy the police smoke while on...

We stayed at the Hotel Portoghesi for three nights as part of our 3 week honeymoon all over Italy. We LOVED the location so close to the Pantheon. We walked everywhere and can recommend the Rick Steve's walking tours to enlighten you to what's around. Rome is PACKED with history, art and great food and we soaked it all in...

Absolutely no regrets choosing Hotel Portoghesi! The room was very nice -- clean and quiet. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco wine that we thoroughly enjoyed after a long day of traveling. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in every aspect. Because of the great location, we were able to walk everywhere, including the Vatican and the...

Great location near Piazza Navona. The hotel is small, quiet, clean and the staff is professional and helpful. An added bonus was the organ player practicing during our 5 night stay at the church next door. We recommend this hotel!

Stayed 4 nights and made the right choice with Hotel Portoghesi. Excellent Pantheon-area location, walkable to big attractions in all directions (Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps). Very accommodating staff, printed documents for us, and made good recommendations for meals.

The Portoghesi's location is ideal for those exploring by foot. We made it to all of the traditional sites with no trouble. The staff were most gracious and eager to assist us with recommendations for food and activities. Breakfast service at the hotel was especially good! Though the rooms are small, the location and service makes up for it.
