Hotel Alexis is well located for those wishing to explore Rome, particularly in relation to train travel. It's a 5 to 10 minute walk to Roma Termini. The rooms are quite small without being uncomfortable and in need of an update. However, for the price, they are fine. Noise levels from the street below are very annoying, so ensure you... More

Very nice and clean hotel in center - rooms are like on pictures. No disappointment! The Hotel is placed in center ( very near of train stataion and metro station). Good hotel for good price. I definitely recommend it!

The area is a little seedy but that is to be expected worldwide around train stations. The hotel is a short walk from Termini; the staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms at Alexis are big and clean - good sized bathrooms with decent water pressure. There was an odd smell from the pipes, but keep the bathroom door closed and... More

It was really nice experience to be in Rome. Hotel Alexis staff were so friendly and so helpful. Room was clean but beds were just a little old so you can feel bedsprings. But anyway If I will go Rome again , I will choose this hotel again.

We were really satisfied with everything, the staff was nice, the room was comfy, it was well worth it for the price. There are several restaurants and bars near the hotel, and we were also given tips how to spend less in the city :)

This was a gorgeous view ! Theo the manager was great. It was a nice family owned spot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Chania. The clubs are a 10€ ride away a lot of tourist. And a small beach very close by. I loved my stay here.

I booked this room through TripAdvisor and found out upon arrival that it had a shared bathroom. This was not at all clear in the booking process, so that was a real bummer. We arrived at about 10 pm and checked in. The guy at the front desk was nice enough, but seemed unsure of himself. Then someone arrived just... More

Staff at the Alexis are very accommodating, the room was very acceptable, the location is perfect. A very comfortable place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel...it is 5 minutes from Termini the main railway and right near significant archaeological sites and the hop on hop off tour bus. The atmosphere is delightful. Love the third floor garden. The beds are comfortable and the heating in cold weather is just right. Bathroom is great and breaky good.....the staff and management are endlessly... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
