Unfortunately, I had a reservation in April 2021, I paid in advance, but the flight was canceled due to Covid. I announced in March that I wanted to cancel, but even today I have not received the money I paid in advance. ATTENTION those who pay in advance.

We stayed here for three nights. Given the location, so close to the Greek fountain and other sights we thought it was great value for money. Our room was a good size, clean and everything you'd want for a short city break.

We have visited Rome four times in recent years and we have stayed at the THFdT for each visit. As many others have mentioned, the location is fantastic i.e. 30 to 40 yds to the Trevi Fountain, and within walking distance of everything in Rome, other than the Vatican. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated as are the bathrooms. The showers are a bit small but consistent with European/Italian standards. This is no longer a B&B as they are unable to serve breakfasts due to city by-laws. However, Francesca always takes 'extra' steps to ensure we have a very enjoyable visit to Rome. Looking forward to our next visit to the THFdT.

The location is fantastic. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The room was nothing like what was advertised, which I always have problems with, but in this case this was not in a bad way! The room was nice, decorated lovely. It was big, very clean and from the window when opened you can see the side of Trevi Fountain. We had a jacuzzi bath in the corner, which was a nice surprise! There was a kettle for hot water or tea and a small fridge. There was a large tele and a safe. When we required an iron , the office staff provided immediately. The towels were a nice size and replaced daily. The large comfortable bed was made up daily for us. There was heat/air con easy to adjust as required. The bathroom was large and very well appointed. There was keyless entry and exit to the room. The staff made check out easy and even kept our bags for us for a few hours as we were not flying to evening. Lovely friendly and helpful making it a pleasure to stay here. Improvements: there was a bit of mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the shower door was not fitted properly which made the water fall out onto the floor sometimes. Not a problem for us but just to note leave towels on floor so you will not slip. I also felt a tad unsafe as there was no interior locking mechanism for when we were in the room (which is standard in every place globally I have ever stayed). We didn’t sleep well without the comfort of an interior locking mechanism for our own protection. To note this room, while perfect for most , is not for disabled or elderly as there are narrow steps up to it; so you should note to owner if this may be a problem for you. I saw that the owners have several rooms of varying types in this building and they might be better suited. …

Few steps away from the Trevi fountain, could see it from the window of the room. The rooms are located at the 3rd floor of a building. Check-in times are only 9am-6pm, so if you arrive after that you need to call the owners at their mobiles to get someone to let you in and take you to your room. We got the one right by the little communal kitchen (where you can get free coffee and tea) with a very tacky decor, and two single beds attached together to make it a double bed. A very inconvenient experience kept us out of the building at night, as the key of the main door of downstairs did not work at all. After ringing 4 times the owners (from a uk number which costed me a fortune), having them telling us to try again harder to get in, they eventually sent someone to help us, who was sleeping and showed up at 00.15 am, 45 minutes after we got back. We advised them of an early check out (8.00 am) but nobody was at reception up until 8.20 am to take our tax stay money. I really hoped to get some sort of apologies for wasting 45 minutes of our night, but they weren’t there to even check us out and collect the taxes, never mind any sort of kind gesture as service recovery! We waited for anyone for over 10 minutes, left our keys together with 7 euros for the taxes and left. Inconveniences happen, it’s how you recover from them that makes the difference.…

We had 3 rooms in this facility that were vastly different. One room had a stained sagging mattress with dirty bed covers, a broken toilet seat and a tiny shower. Another room had twin beds with psychedelic wallpaper and bed bugs! The 3rd room was large with a jaccuzzi tub and large shower, hence this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1. We were dropped off in front of a wooden door on a narrow busy street with all of our luggage. There was no way to get in but fortunately my voucher had a phone number on it. I went to a shop across the street and the shop clerk called the number. We were instructed to push button number 8 on the wall (unmarked) and the door would open and go up to the 3rd floor reception. I will say when we complained about the 2 lesser room the manager replaced the mattress, fixed the toilet and steamed the room with bed bugs. I also might note this is one of the main streets leading to the Trevi fountain so it is very busy and very noisy. The only good thing about the place was it's nearness to the fountain, other than that, you've been warned!…

Awesome location - Trevi Fountain literally down the road and can be seen from the bedroom window. Walking distance to most tourist attractions. Francesca was awesome in arranging a taxi from the airport and the check-in process. The town house provided all that we required during our stay in Rome.

Right from our arrival we were disappointed. Luckily we knew the building number for this 'hotel' as there was no hotel entrance, not even any signage. We entered a lobby off what could have been an office block, where a man inside told me the hotel was on the 3rd floor. We took our cases up in the lift to a plain drab corridor, still no signage, and found the reception up a few steps round a corner. The man on the desk was very friendly and said our room would be ready in about 10 mins, which was great as it was only about 10am. I was desperate for the toilet but the ones by the desk were out of order, but they said they'd find a room. I assumed they were just going to let me use a room they were turning round but I was shown into a room clearly booked out to other guests as they knocked on the door before letting me in. That room did look very nice so although the start had been odd I thought things would then be ok. When we were told our room was ready we were told it was on the first floor so we took the lift down 2 floors, to another dull corridor with decorating in process judging by floor covering. Down some steps past what appeared to be a legal office, then next to that another door into a lobby area. Then we had to lug 2 cases up a winding staircase, no lift. The door to our room had a flimsy sliding door with an award lock. We had to lock it with the key from inside too, or it could be slid opened by anyone. Our room was basic though seemed clean enough. The tv didnt work properly, and there were no tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was very shabby. Tiles missing, some exposed electrical device, sink coming away from the wall. Only plus point was decent sized towels. Coming and going was a hassle with an awkward key to our room, another lock to the internal lobby and one to the main outside door. But at least once outside we had a great location. One minute walk to the Trevi fountain, and walking distance to other major attractions. We were only staying 2 nights so it was tolerable, but generally we were disappointed. This was not a hotel, just a room in an office block, and a very tired one at that. The location was the only saving grace…

Be careful about the room that you book. The room shown on booking web sites and the room that they gave us was not the same. The “family room” what they call is 5-6 minutes away from the main building. Actually it is not a hotel room but a ground floor apartment within a building complex in a silent street which we did not feel safe at night time. The staff at the reception told us that there is nothing to do if we did not like the room. She also said it is mentioned on web site that the family room is an independent building but it was in Italian language which I do not speak and understand. They failed in customer satisfaction. In the room the furniture is very old and dirty looking. Room smells mold. There are mice wandering in the yard. You are not allowed to use some of the closets. Bathroom is in very bad condition. The safe is attached to the shelf but the shelf itself is not fixed to the wall so you can easily take it out LOL. There is only one double bed and the other two are rollaway beds. They move easily when you are sleeping and absolutely not comfortable. I leave the room with backache after 3 days of stay. Internet is an other issue. Actually the internet is mobile internet with an extremely slow speed. I had such a slow speed back in 1990’s. It is almost impossible even to check you emails. The only positive thing is the location. As a result we would not stay here again and do not recommend. …

My husband and I spent 2 nights and were very happy with our stay. Trevi Fountain could be seen from our room. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but overall would stay again. The host was very friendly and helpful.
