A very nice placec with cool, spacious rooms. The breatfast terrace was crowded and there were no shelter outside so anyone sat jammed together in a sort of tent. Two huge discusting seagulls actually came into the breakfast room! Very uncharming!

We stayed at Antica Dimora dell'Orso for 3 nights and the apartment was situated in a fantastic location to explore the city as most sights are in walking distance e.g right next to Piazza Navoni, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are about a 15 min stroll, Colesseum c. 30-40 mins, and it is based right near the river to... This annexe of the main hotel was situated down a small side street, with great restaurants and a lovely little cafe. Our room was large and clean, the décor was very individual and very appropriate for the amazing city of Rome. Staff helpful, the breakfast was adequate, but the views from the breakfast terrace were stunning. I would not hesitate... More

In perfect harmonization with the grandiose, baroque atmosphere of the surrounding area and literally hidden in a tiny alley just off Palazzo Altemps, this old house ( actually the first floor of an old, stone building ) will make you feel like the owner of a historic property, as there’s no reception and you come and go with your own... This is one of the annexes for the main hotel. the good: Our room was fantastic, huge and beautiful. Very clean and well taken care of. The location is absolutely perfect, right near piazza navona, and within walking distance of all the main attractions. We would stay here again for sure. The bad: the checkin process is atrocious, you have... More

If you're looking for an expensive chain hotel then this is not for you. But if you want to immerse yourself in the "Baroque Rome" experience then this is the perfect place. The dell'Orso is a 17th Townhouse complete with stone stairs and skeleton key. It's located in a picturesque alley filled with wonderful shops & cafes. It's comfortable and... More

I have reviewed this on the main hotel too... Exactly what u need for a city break in a perfect location. This is the annex building to the main antique dimora cinque lune... It's round the corner and we have had to go to the main hotel everyday for breakfast but to us this is not an issue. It just... More

My wife and I spent a week at this location and we couldn't have been happier! First of all, it is centrally located to all must-see places in Rome. We were a block away from Piazza Navona (home of the Fountain of Four Rivers), 10-15 minutes walk to the Vatican, 5 minutes walk to the Pantheon, 10 minutes walk to... More

We couldn't have been more pleased with this "Hotel". You can not ask for a more perfect location. It is within walking distance of 95% of the sites in Rome. It had great WIFI, great Air conditioning, was clean and did not smell. It is not your typical "hotel" and we were grateful for that. It is located among back... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for 4 nights while in Rome. The check-in process is awkward. The entrance isn't well marked and when you get there you have to call and wait for someone to walk over from the sister hotel (5 min away). This is basically the annex to a larger, more expensive traditional hotel. We were... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
