My mother, sister and I stayed for 3 nights at Villa Urbani leading up to Christmas day. Laura and her staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and clean, with towering ceilings. I would absolutely stay here again. Also, the car service recommended by Laura was very professional, timely and a 20% or so savings...

This Fall my wife and I spent four days in a delightful B&B in Rome. The Villa Urbani is actually a family villa, owned and run by Laura, a charming and informative host. She speaks excellent English, if that is a requirement. The villa is located in a quiet residential area, right on the border of the Janiculum And Trastevere. Not only is...

My positive experience began with Laura's warm emails to me prior to my stay, describing the room that she had available and the accommodations. As someone who stays in my share of *****Hotels, I actually preferred Villa Urbani in many ways. I was traveling alone, visiting my son whose dorm was nearby, and the Villa felt like home to me...

Villa Urbani is an excellent choice if you want to stay in Trastevere. It is a short if somewhat steep walk away from the hustle and bustle, restaurants and bars of Trastevere. The beautiful villa dates from 1920s and has belonged to the family from 1930s. The B&B has been converted on the floor 5 years ago. Our room was...

Stayed at this villa late September and loved the location close to the river and historical attractions. The street is full of beautiful buildings and if you walk up the street you get an amzing view of Rome. It is a short walking distance from the restaurants and perfect to walk back after dinner. Laura is a great hostess and...

Just back from a stay at Villa Urbani. The location is fantastic, we went everywhere by foot which had the added bonus of burning up the carb calories consumed. The hotel is very clean and Laura is very welcoming. The breakfast was served on the lovely roof terrace and consisted of warm rolls, ham, cheese, cake and pastries. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 1 night, 2 adults and our 3 kids (8,5,2 yrs) and we all were very pleased with our stay. All our family fitted more than well in a huge room with comfortable beds for all of us. We also appreciated the air-conditioning as it was almost 40 degrees celsius outside. Beautiful house and perfect location with walking...

Villa Urbani is located on the outskirts of the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome. You are within walking distance of everything yet the Villa is quiet and peaceful. Our room was huge, the breakfast was good and our hostess Laura was very kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I loved this B&B, which is in a beautiful part of Trastevere. We arrived in the afternoon and was welcomed by Laura who made us a lovely Espresso. The house was incredible, we stayed in the family room which was huge (5 metre high ceilings) and had everything you'd need, it overlooked the side of the Garden....

Villa Urbani is the perfect place to stay for young travelers looking for a comfortable bed and breakfast. I stayed with three of my friends in her 4 person family suite. Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
