Our stay at Chapter Roma had some good paints and some not so good points. Whether or not you will enjoy staying at Chapter Roma will depend upon your style of travel. If you are the type of traveler who enjoys staying up late and enjoying a little night life at your hotel then this is the place for you. If you are the type of traveler who enjoys touring all day and turning in early to recharge for the next day, this might not be the spot for you. The good points about our stay were that the location was a nice one for our needs. It is close to Trastevere where we had a tour scheduled and where many of the popular restaurants are located. It is walking distance (though sometimes long) to just about everything you would want to see. The decor is trendy but minimalist, the bed was reasonably comfortable, the shower was adequately strong and the rooms were reasonably spacious-although quite dark. The breakfast in the morning was just right with a lovely combination of sweet and savory selections. The biggest drawback of our recent stay was the noise. Each evening of our stay there was a DJ in the common area of the hotel and he would play quite late into the night and we could hear the music loud and clear in our room. In addition, those hanging out in this club setting would linger outside on the street talking and smoking adding to the noise. Our last night there, a Saturday, was the worst. Fortunately I had earplugs from the plane and I was able to get some sleep. As another reviewer mentioned, the keys are an old fashioned metal key on a giant tasseled fob which are kitschy but rather impractical. I will say that you can leave your giant keychain at the front desk when you leave each day so you don't have to travel around with it. We stayed at three different hotels during our stay in Italy (2 in Rome) and this is the only one we would probably not recommend to our friends.

Great hotel. Great bar. Daytime restaurant only served meat balls and poke bowls. Staff is a bit snooty so service is not that great. We were refused access to the restaurant because we only wanted dolce, and after that only given a bar table if we agreed to vacate it at 10.30pm.

Lovely modern hotel in a fantastic location. All the main sites were within a 40 min walk incl. the Vatican, Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and the colosseum. Friendly and helpful staff recommended some superb restaurants within a 10 minute walk of an evening. Cool bar and spacious rooms with a fantastic shower to refresh in after all of the walking, shopping and sightseeing in this amazing city.

The hotel is in a convenient location, I walked to most of the major attractions (Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum). I also walked to Villa Borghese which is a very beautiful park, however that is a longer walk. the street its on is pretty quiet and the room had a cute view of some rooftops. The hotel itself could use some updates and better maintenance. The first downside were the strange smells in the elevators and the hallway. In the elevator it smelled like someone used the bathroom and sprayed a ton of room spray, if you know what I mean. I’m not sure if it was the cleaning product or the carpets, but I opted for the stairs multiple times. The smell in the hallway was like musty water damage. Second, the room key situation is a little ridiculous. There were two of us staying in the room and we were only given one key. Mind you, it is two regular metal keys, one for the door and one for the lights. AND it is kept on a metal keychain that I KID YOU NOT is like one pound. It was a pain to carry around and if my partner left the room alone he’d be without a key or I’d be without lights. Finally, I think the furniture needs some updating. There were these metal coat hanger/drawer units. The drawers didn’t have a smooth open and I’d have to fight the door to the minibar. While they’re small complaints, they become frustrating during a 4 night stay. Also, the bed was HARD. No sinking in at all. Not sure if we got a brand new bed or what, but it was a wood plank. I enjoy a hard bed so I had no problem with it. We had a drink at HeyBaby which was nice. The breakfast provided was fine. We didn’t try either of the restaurants. Hey Guey isn’t open in the winter so we didn’t get the chance to try it and Campicori’s menu just didn’t interest us.

A cool boutique hotel in a good location, right by the Jewish quarter. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance as well as the Trastevere area about a 10 minute walk across the river. The room comes with a full bar so that pretty much gives you the vibe of the hotel. I would not stay here with kids- it is more a couples or friends spot. Space is lacking so we actually moved the bar out of the way so we had space to put our things. A huge shout out to the front desk staff. Everyone was amazing and extremely helpful! They gave us directions, restaurant recs, and called us taxis when we needed them. The only con was the mattress. The bed was way too firm for our tastes. I remember reading reviews praising the beds so I was shocked when we got there and they were hard as a rock.

This chic hotel is stylish, comfortable and well-located, just a short walk to the Jewish quarter and Travestere, as well as the Coliseum and Campo di Fiori. The staff at (delicious) breakfast and front desk were helpful, very friendly and professional. And our room was very quiet, an extra bonus. Plus loved the bath products :)

This hotel is situated in a very nice and lively neighbourhood and frankly the location is perfect for a weekend in Rome. All major sights and attractions are at walking distance. The staff is friendly, rooms are nice but book a deluxe room. Rooms are a bit worn out and are in need of a bit of maintenance (some new paint in the wall and in the shower could do the trick) The breakfast is included and for an Italian breakfast it was nice. You could order eggs, fruit and charcuterie and all types of tea or coffee. The only thing I regret is that the rooftop bar is only open for diners and you cannot relax there during the day or after a full day of visiting and shopping.

An exceptional hotel for the money in a fantastic location. We absolutely recommend this hotel while in Rome. Clean, updated rooms, with very engaged and helpful staff. And the pool on the roof overlooking the colosseum is a wonderful bonus.
