So first things first, all the reception staff were amazing. They were incredibly helpful and there was never a language barrier - as luckily they spoke English.

I realize this question is old, but just fyi, the area seems a little sketchy at night but I walked it several times and was never disturbed. I think all of Rome kind of has that sketchy look because of the graffiti and general dirtiness. Also, this hotel does have a shuttle service. Ran on time the whole two weeks I was there.
