Great service and fabulous front desk team, and amazing concierge ! Good food & warm welcome .. we will definitely come back to hotel de la villa Rocco fort Rome. Location is amazing right next to Spanish steps !
This was our second stay at the Hotel De La Ville and it was as perfect as it was 3 years ago! The front desk, Concierge, house keeping and especially the buffet breakfast crew cant do enough for you! Always service with a smile from every person working at the hotel. The service all around is 5 star. I think its one of the best run hotels in the world and when in Rome I would not stay anywhere else. Looking forward to our next stay!! I forgot to mention the restaurant and the cocktail area upstairs with incredible service and stunning views of the city as well
Stayed at Hotel de la Ville for one night on the last leg of our trip to Amalfi coast. Great service was evident from the second we arrived. Everyone was welcoming and genuinely ready to assist. Rooms are well furnished and most have great size bathrooms. If your budget permits - opt for a suite. We were upgraded to one and it was fantastic! The roof terrace has great views and drinks to match. This was our first stay at this Rocco Forte property, and if in Rome we would not hesitate to return.
Amazing stay! Great staff, amazing location , and the carbonara just perfect! Breakfast set on a beautiful courtyard with great fresh produce . Diner on the roof terrace is beautiful and delicious, maybe the best tiramisu on our Roman trip Thank you for the lovely Roman stay
The hotel is in a great location at the top of the Spanish Steps. We have stayed here a few times now. The staff is generally friendly, the rooms are modern and have ample USB and universal plugs. There is a very nice rooftop bar that serves craft cocktails. The rooftop restaurant, Cielo (naturally) has great views, but only mediocre food (which is particularly disappointing for a 5 star hotel in Rome). We like the nearby Hotel Eden as well, but it is up another big hill, and after walking up the Spanish Steps for the third or fourth time in one day, that extra hill up to the Eden can be a killer. The Hotel de la Ville is a solid choice in the heart of Rome.
The hotel is designed around an 18th century palazzo and it is luxurious and beautiful. The hotel is very centrally located (near the Spanish steps). The staff is excellent throughout the hotel. The decor in the rooms is elegant and tasteful, and he beds are very comfortable. The rooftop terrace is an excellent place to have a drink and look out over the city.. This is an excellent luxurious hotel - one of my favorites in Rome.
From the moment I walked into the hotel the team made me feel as if I was a long time friend who was coming home for a visit. The hotel location cannot be better, directly above the Spanish Steps and close to all the sites, attractions and shopping available in Rome. They did an entire renovation right before the pandemic so the rooms are fresh but still in the style of a classic Roman hotel with very modern touches. The bathroom amenities, Irene Forte, are some of the best quality amenities I have encountered at any luxury hotel I have stayed in. Highly recommend cocktails or a light dinner at their rooftop terrace. The hotel is great but the staff was fantastic. I stayed four nights and then went to Florence for five nights and came back for one night to catch a flight back to the US. As I walked through the lobby for my second stay, you would have thought it was the Pope who had walked in! I had never felt so welcome anywhere. I must highlight the attentiveness of the Concierge, Laura. She listened and was quick with suggestions. I know exactly where I will be staying next time I return to Rome!!…
Nice hotel, good service and great food. We usually book junior suites and this was a nice size! Very clean, and updated. If you like to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle this location is great for you if you prefer a more toned down environment I’d look into a different location. Pretty views of Rome from their rooftop!
Phenomenal stay at this gorgeous hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed we were treated exceptionally well. Every person in their employ is gracious, professional, courteous and kind. Our flight arrived before 10 am, well before check in. We had no expectation for our early arrival but Giacomo Quadretti (Front Desk Agent) informed us our room was being prepared ,walked us to the restaurant, ordered us coffee, gave us internet information and came back to collect us within 45 minutes to escort us to a BIG surprise. We’d been upgraded to an incredible suite (606) which features a stunning living room, luxurious bedroom and bathroom, a powder room, walk in closet and a massive terrace which can be accessed via the living/dining and bedroom and allows for expansive views overlooking the Spanish Steps and many Roman monuments. Absolutely breathtaking. The General.Manager,Francesca Roccato sent chocolates, fruit, sparkling water and a lovely welcoming note .So unexpected and so appreciated. The Concierge mapped out what we needed to see, made our dinner reservations, a Tuscan delight. This is truly a five star experience in every way. Everything about this luxury hotel is first rate, from the linens, to the toiletries to their soft cushy towels and plush housecoats. Nothing is left to chance. The breakfast in the Mosaico (a Roman Courtyard) was delicious. I am Vegan and was pleasantly surprised when oat milk for my coffee was readily available. Service with a smile. If you are staying in Rome do yourself a favour, splurge if you must but make this your hotel of choice. You won’t be disappointed. We cannot wait to return. Grazie Mille .…
This hotel was wonderful! Very clean, helpful English-speaking staff. Best part is that is within a few blocks of a beautiful beach. If you want a Hilton or Marriott, it's not for you. If you want clean, typical small Italian hotel this is for you. Wonderful small restaurants within walking distance. We sat on the terrance while waiting for our room and did the online Covid test needed to get back to the USA that was provided by the cruise line. Side note, download the app for the Covid test before leaving the US. Don't wait until you're in the airport!!!!! You need a quiet place and about 20 minutes per test.
