After staying in Amalfi coast, it's nice to get your money's worth. Rightin the middle of the action but spacey, comfy and quiet. Highly recommended Ask for suite 307. You'll have a second level where to lounge

I must admit had some difficulty choosing a hotel for our recent visit to Rome, but I am VERY happy with our choice of Babuino 181. If you are looking for a small, intimate "boutique" hotel in a very convenient, very upscale part of Rome, then this is the place. Although it does not have some facilities (big lobby, restaurant)... We loved our time at this hotel. We commented to each other, how we felt a little like locals. The position was close enough to the Spanish steps without the crowds. The cafes and restaurants that were recommended by the hotel were authentic and very good. We loved our long walks of discovery. And yes we felt safe in the... More

We were in a front room in the building across the street--Very quiet and dark with the shutters closed. Didn't notice we had slept till 10:30AM! Didn't have to ask for extra towels, Nespresso coffee maker with extra coffee. Well-located as a base for getting to the sights.

Close to Flaminio metro station, which is just a short walk away. Lots of nearby shops in case you need anything. Plenty of nice restaurants around the area. Although you should have with wits about you and excercise street smarts anywhere in Rome mainly to avoid pickpockets, the area felt safe with lots of people around at night. Will be... More

Babuino 181 is not only a comfortable and well located hotel in central Rome. It is as close as I've ever gotten to living like a local in the Eternal City. With the many insider tips offered to its residents, one is never left to fall into the many tourist traps in this part of town.

We extended our stay in Rome by one night and were lucky to find a room at Babuino 181. It was a great room, king bed with good linens and plenty of good towels and bathroom amenities. mini bar in the room, breakfast across the street at the hotel's rooftop bar. Great location just off Palazzo del Popolo and walking... More

New hotel with decent size rooms. Very good located to visit main sights and to go shopping. Best price/quality/service in Rome. The only objection to say something it is it doesn't have 24h room service.

The Babuino 181 is one of three boutique hotels that are located within a few blocks of each other and operated by Rome Luxury Suites. I mention the company because its people were so helpful to us both before and during our trip. The hotel occupies two buildings across the street from each other, the original at number 181 Via... Babuino 181 is wonderfully located on a lovely high-end shopping mecca street steps to Piazza Popolo and within 5 minutes to the Spanish Steps, one block to Via del Corso. Many restaurants around as well both on Piazza Popolo & the side streets. This is a small boutique hotel with suites spread over 2 buildings. There's no large common area.... More
