Hotel Bergamo is well located, very close to Termini station and all means of transport. It is located at the 2nd floor of a building with many other hotels. We didn't spend many time in hotel, so we didn't expect very much from it, but it didn't look so bad. At night there was a bit noisy as the room... More

We didn't spend much time at the room but we have to say that it was very clean. The cleaner was cleaning the room every morning. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Although our room was next to the reception, it was quiet. I recommend this hotel for a few days trip to Rome because it... More

This hotel is on second floor so you need to keep eyes peeled for sign. You go in through glass doors and up lift. The manager is on-call so no problem with contact. Basically its a few rooms which have own bathrooms- all dated but for the money,a bargain for a night. Weird decor but spotlessly white bedding and very... More

1. Free WiFi is only at the reception area NOT in the rooms; rooms that are located next to reception area only are lucky enough to get that piece of WiFi! 2. Location is great! Just a road across the Termini Station and surrounded by good restaurants, mini supermarkets, McD, souvenir shops; 3. Attractions: - 4minutes walk to the church... More

It is located near to bus and metro station, which is extremely convenient. Not the best part of the city, but only after 23.00 and nothing bad really happened. Perfectly clean though and every day fresh towels.

We spent in the hotel one night, because early in the morning we had to go to Ciampino airport. And we chose the hotel as a place to drop our belongings while we walk around Rome and to sleep before long way home. Sleeping was very hard, outside was very loud, it felt like hotel windows don't have any sound... More

I am not a hotel snob. For me - when travelling - a hotel is a place to sleep and shower when not out sightseeing and having fun. I had a single room for 8 nights. This hotel is very clean. Even though the hotel is in a seedy neighborhood (near Termini - Rome's main train station) the hotel is... More

A terrible place to stay. A too noisy room, impossible to sleep. Too dirty bathroom with lack of clean air (they were using "toilet" spray in order to make the atmosphere fresh. Prostitution and dealers under the hotel. Police came also in order to investigate a crime (a woman already crying making complaints in the reception). We ended up paying... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
