Booked through teletext holidays, told them I was taking my elderly mother for her birthday, needed to be close to the city, they recommend Hotel Alba , 5 mins from the city, more like an hour of metro jumping, the hotel is meant to be a 4 star , more like a motel with 1 star, the location is to far away from the city , the only food available is breakfast and is diabolical , who eats hot dogs , powdered eggs made up to scrambled eggs, tuna, sweet corn ham cheese , all left out far to long, quite disgusting, no tea or coffee making facilities, the beds are way past their best , my back can confirm this no complementary cold bottles of water, the plug sockets in room 19 are dangerous, patio sets out of the entrance lobby are past their best , the corridors are in desperate need of paint, the area around this hotel resembles a run down council estate, food not available through out the day , soft drinks from the bar quadruple in price , all in all never coming back , would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, reception staff through the day friendly, night staff not so friendly

Hotel is nice, not bad location but room was dirty, I believe curtains were never ever cleaned, dirty floor, dusty shelves and table. Shower “decorated” with someone’s hair and not clean, shower head was lying on the floor as there is no hang. Heating was working and worming the dust inside during May! Breakfast is so-so, but coffee was really good! To summarize: this hotel deserves 2 stars but definitely not 4!

Extremely pleased with my stay at this hotel. There is a bus directly onto the back of the street where the hotel is located, however the journey into the main parts of Rome are extremely far!! You spend majority of your time on the trains than you do sight seeing. The hotel is fairly new and family run. Brilliant environment and extremely friendly staff. Breakfast was great. For those reasons, I would come back again when visiting Rome!

Stayed here to be close to my wife's extended family; but we cut it short in order to be closer to the sites and experiences of central Rome. And the beds.... The Good: Staff was GREAT - they even reminded us that we would not pay local tax on the nights that we did not use the room. (we skipped a few nights and chose an alternative options). Lobby and bar area, grounds looked really nice. Very secure gated area and parking options if you're renting a car. Here are the simple but CRUCIAL fixes: Beds - prison style wire prison springs - non-existent mattress and bedding. Just improve the sleep experience and I can forgive the ridiculously small TV and terrible bathrooms. Bathroom - Renew the tile. Disgusting and small shower option. Cleaning products - the smell of....I don't know what. Replace the tile in the bedroom and bathroom and you could easily charge twice the nightly amount.

I was traveled with a group tour with my 2 kids, so the travel agent arranged this hotel for us for total of 2 nights. I assume they did accept lots of group tours, since I saw many big buses took lots of busters here. I Definitely won’t choose this hotel if I booked reservation by my own. he facility is really old. We had a hard time trying to flush the toilet and the shower doors are broken. Also, the ground was very dirty and unclean. One of the blanket on a bed had dirt on it and it had a hole in it. On the desktop table, there were a few sticks on it that were broken. Everything was really dirty and broken and old. The reception was also very rude. I accidentally made a mistake by pressing on the elevator 2 times, and she shouted at me in an angry way. The breakfast is included, but the food wasn’t very good. They only had a few choices for the food and it tasted really bad. I don’t know why this hotel was even rated 4 stars. It should be 1 star.
