I have stayed here for business a few times. The rooms are well spaced, there is good Wifi. The shower had good pressure. It is strictly speaking not a hotel since they don't have 24 hour staff -- but the staff in the day / evening are very friendly and pleasant. There is a basic breakfast spread which is good... More

Small, only 10 rooms. Friendly staff, especially Robert, ever helpful. Ideal for those going to FAO for meetings, it is just across the road. Only a few minutes to the Metro blue line station Circo Massimo. Supermarket almost next door, a few nice local eating places on the same street (Eg. Rosso has meals for 7 t0 10 Euros) but... More

Very easy hotel/b&b where you feel at home. We got a warm welcome and a lot of hints of what to see and where to go. Don't miss out on the Orange garden on the hill behind the hotel. You have a marvelous view of Rome in a little orange orchard. A place where many newly weds go to have... More

My wife and I appreciate all that the Guest House staff did for us during our stay in Rome. We could not have been happier, and I have recommended the Aventino Guest House to many people I met at a conference I attended.

The Aventino Guest House is a great little place that is reasonably priced. It is located a close walk from many of Rome's attractions. I was in Rome to attend meetings at FAO of the UN. You couldn't get much closer to it as it is across the street. The rooms are are clean and we'll appointed. The section I... More

I came to Rome because I had to attend a conference at Piazza Cavalieri di Malta and I was looking for a nearby place to stay for a week. I found this guest house on tripadvisor and I gave it a try because it looked good and because it was near my point of interest. When I arrived, I was... More

Just spent 4 nights at this lovely b and b, which is more like a hotel, with a lot more flexibility. We stayed in room 110 which seemed recently refurbished, lovely room and bathroom, fridge as well. Breakfast was continental but not bad, with a lot of choice. Would definitely recommend it really felt homely and really close to the... More

I stayed a few nights here. It is just minutes walking distance to subways and the train. Buses and taxis go past all the time and you can walk to circo massimo, the forum, Colosseum, FAO, restaurants and a supermarket. Really friendly and helpful people run it and it is very personal. The rooms are new and modern. Mine was... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
