What a gem of a guest house, all down to the hard work of Laura and her team! Superb location - Trastevere ideal for foodies and those who like an evening drink. Whilst great access to all parts of Rome on foot - with the furthest attractions only 45mins away on foot. Laura recommend several places to dine which we couldn’t fault. Also highly recommend Zia in the north of the district if you like innovative fine dining only 15mins on foot. For gin lovers and breakfast try 404 not found (also one of the places included for breakfast package - the better of the two opinions) The room was clean, comfortable (bed was great with pillow options to chose from) and beautiful furnished. We had room 1 which was relatively quiet considering it’s on a main road (like all hotels in Rome) which didn’t disturb our sleep. However I’d personally like a set of shutters or black out on the second window for pure darkness due to car lights / morning sunlight, but only a minor point). Fresh cakes and coffee available free of charge. Each room has Netflix, ideal for relaxing after walking all day before heading out for the evening. Highly recommend as per all other reviews. Keep up the good work Laura, and thanks for being such a wonderful host.

What a delightful surprise this hidden gem is. It is located in a wonderful location for access to the big attractions, in a secure area all on the first floor, within a building. Access to the 4 guest rooms is by key as is access to the building itself. We felt very safe. The rooms are very clean with modern appointments. Laura had delicious fresh tortes each day. She provided a variety of wines for purchase which we enjoyed after touring, in the small sitting area just outside the doors of two of the guest rooms. This area had a microwave and offered tea and coffee. She arranged airport transportation for the 6 of us. I would give this little hotel 5 stars in all categories and would readily book again if I ever return to Rome.

Palazzo Baj was the perfect location for us! As this was our 4th time visiting Rome, we were happy just to enjoy the Roman culture and of course the food! Laura, was incredibly helpful, providing us we everything we needed, including restaurant recommendations and providing fresh fruit for our breakfast. The accommodations were outstanding, clean and high quality! I would most definitely recommend a visit to Palazzo Baj!

Such a great guest house. The location is only around a 15/20min walk to the colosseum and into town. But you don’t need to go into town as the best food and restaurants are behind the guesthouse in Trastevere. This area is super trendy and better than the busy city centre. There are only 4 rooms in this little guesthouse and there’s also a little common area where you always find FREE freshly baked goods and coffee. The rooms are beautiful and very modern, they also have a good mini bar with decent prices plus free coffee and tea. The bed and fillies are also fantastic. The owner is also super helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Just keep in mind that all rooms face onto kinda busy road and although the room window have great sound proof glass you can still hear a bit of traffic and people walking past at night. I woke one night to people playing music in this car but I can be a light sleeper. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It has such cute Italian vibe which is what you want when in Rome.

We enjoyed 4 nights stay in the beautiful Palazzo Baj. Our room ( room 3 ) was lovely, with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It was very clean, and the friendly cleaner made up the room each day. The temperature in the room was perfect - we never felt either too warm or cold. The shower was spacious and plenty hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, plus just outside there was an area with a coffee maker and cakes. The location of the hotel was for us just perfect. Trastevere is a very 'authentic' part of Rome. Lots of locals enjoying the many cafes and bars which were a few minutes walk away from the hotel. And there are many more places to eat and drink within a 10 minute walk. We used the token provided by the hotel to enjoy an Italian breakfast ( coffee and pastries ) in a nearby cafe ( it also did a great aperitivo ). It was a lovely walk across the river ( do the Tiber Island crossing - it's beautiful ) into Rome and all it has to offer. Thank you Laura for your hints and tips on best places to visit and eat. We would love to return to Rome and would have no hesitation to stay in the Palazzo Baj again.

Amazing location, awesome service & recommendations for touring the city. She was always available to answer questions quickly & gave us a map for different places to check out. Restaurants & bars are walking distance or there are rentable scooters that are fun to drive & can get you around town quickly

Palazzo Baj is situated in the lively and sociable Trastevere district. And therefore plenty of nice bars and good restaurants, not more than a 5 minute walking distance from the Palazzo. Furthermore Palazzo Baj is comfortable, clean and cosy. Rooms are spacious enough and thoroughly cleaned on a daily base. Shower, bathroom and toilet are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is in a nice bar just a minute away. Small snacks and cakes are available in the Palazzo. The mini-bar is up to standards and quality wines can be purchased (for fair prices) at the Palazzo. The beautiful, lovely and very sympathetic host Laura is helpful and approachable for requests and information. Definitely worth a visit. I know for sure that I will book my next stay here.

If you're going to stay in Rome, my advice would be to stay here in Palazzo Baj! The location in Trastevere is great, right next to the Tiber River. It is also surrounded by some of the best Cafes & Restaurants in Rome. The Palazzo Baj Guesthouse itself is wonderful, the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed & a fantastic shower and also lots of amenities like drinks & snacks. There is also a Lounge Area where you can enjoy a coffee with some lovely homemade cakes while reading a book. Laura, the host is a joy to deal with & is so helpful. We needed to get a COVID Test completed the day before we left & Laura was so helpful in organising this for us. When we return to Rome, we will again stay in the fantastic Palazzo Baj.
