This small boutique hotel near the Spanish Steps was our last stop on our Italy trip and it was adorable. The hundreds-year old town house has been converted into a small hotel - small entry and tiny "lobby" one flight up - but with excellent service and rooms. Our rooftop suite (an upgrade from our travel specialists, Exclusive Italian Tours)... More

Review is late, but I always try to give feedback as my way of giving back after all the help and info I get when I plan my own trips:) We've been visiting Rome practically every year now, and we always choose to stay in the Spanish Steps area for sentimental reasons... even if there's only 1 decent restaurant nearby... Great hotel location, pity the car parking (non existent) is such a disaster. Thankfully Giuseppe helped us find a solution. He was really friendly and called around 6 restaurants to get us a booking (Sunday night most restaurants are closed). We had an excellent meal and his help really made our stay. The rooms are smart and look good. The... More

Dear Racky99, We pride ourselves on our service and are pleased to know that Giuseppe helped made your stay at Mario de’ Fiori 37 memorable. As we are situated in the heart of the historic center and in an area restricted to cars, parking is extremely limited. Nevertheless, we’re glad that Giuseppe was able to find a solution for you.... Third time staying at this little gem of a hotel. Cannot beat the location, large size of the rooms and reasonable rates in Rome. Very nice breakfast included at rooftop of close-by sister hotel. Free Wi-Fi. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little hotel, tucked away in a side street just behind Piazza di Spagna. We booked the suite under the rafters, and loved looking out over the rooftops. Slightly quirky layout, with a passage connecting the gorgeously lovely bed with the luxury bathroom... The owners have set out to make the suites feel like a home from home and part... More

We have stayed with luxury suites before and Mario de Fiori did not disappoint. Giuseppe from reception actually remembered us from two years back! Location was also excellent and perfect walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
