My wife and took at 2 week tour through Italy and France last month, and our first stop was three days in Rome. I did a ton of research and chose this B&B based on the location, reviews, and reasonable price. We were not disappointed! Once we got our bearings in the city, we realized what a wonderful location we...

We visited Rome for the first time in mid-March and chose Casa Del Capitano because of the reviews here as well as the fact that we didn't want to be in a cramped European-style hotel room. We were not disappointed. The room was large and very private. Unlike the standard B&B experience where you gather with folks for breakfast, here...

The day always began with a large italian breakfast with real strong coffee warm croissant juice and more. The best part was to be served in the...

Great place to stay, at piazza Barberini, one step from metro station, two metro stops from Termini railway station. Great hosts, great Italian breakfasts (I'm used to other type of breakfast, but for Italy these are very nice, with hot buns, croissants, jams, mousses, coffee/tea, juice, etc) served right in your room, very beautiful rooms. We had even two rooms...

Very pleasant place, perfectly located (5 min. from the Trevi fontana, Piaza Espagna...) to visit Roma by foot and to go out by night. The hotel is very cosy : just 2 rooms with private suites, so you can take confortably your braekfast in the room. We appreciated the service very much. This authentique and charming hotel is perfect for...

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

“The rooms aren't numbered. One overlooks the square and so is noisier - but then again if you want peace and quiet...!”
Warmers, May 31, 2014 | Read review
“There were 4 rooms (as far as we could tell) and they all seemed of a similar standard. The staff also switched us to a bigger room because it was empty and they thought we might prefer it.”

“we saw all the rooms, and more family stayed in the room facing the side street. all rooms are nice with beautiful furniture and fabrics but the huge one facing the Piazza would be our first choice”
aloha459, Jun 12, 2013 | Read review
“This is not a hotel, so there's no telephone in the room so bring your cel or add time to your skype to make calls via your laptop since wi-fi is included. The phone cards sold at airports don't work with the public pay phones.”
