Great b&b very relaxing. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to access everything. Located 10 mins walk from Rome station and also the hop on hop off buses. Breakfast was lovely, sweet and savoury. Room very spacious with an ensuite or you could have a shared bathroom. Rooms made up everyday. Air conditioned for comfort. Lovely family... More

The little hotel is set in a quiet, residential area, surrounded by tall, old buildings that remain silent during the night, because they are mainly meant for business only or tourism. The triple rom is very big, with tall French windows that overlook the lovely quiet street and with a mural painting of the Vatican that calms you down after... More

Wow, this place was a wonderful surprise. We had 16 people; 8 in Viallafranco 2 and 8 in via palestro 56. The apartments were great -- roomy, clean, ac, kitchen. And 3 bathrooms in each apartment was, well, quite convenient to say the least. Our group at meals together in one place and there were enough plates and cups and... More

Located walking distance from Termini Station for easy access to public transport, but if you like walking around new cities like we do this is the perfect location. Walking distance to most of Rome's beautiful sights and monuments like the Forum, The Colosseum, The Pantheon and Fontana Di Trevi. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms have excellent... More

We were a family of 8, 6 children ranging in age from 7-18. Easy walk to Termini Station to catch the metro to any point in the city. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. Three bathrooms was very nice with so many children. Small grocery store within a block. On quiet side street with... More

Anthony was very helpful as noted in other posts. The annex does not include the breakfast "B" in "B&B" but it was spacious and clean. Also, very low ceilings, particularly in the bathrooms!!! My family is tall, so visits to the WC were sometimes challenging. The biggest perk is the washing machine in the annex. Saved us later holiday expenses... More

It was our first visit to Rome and Anthony b and b was perfect. They organised a pick up from the airport which was the same or less than a taxi and great after a long haul flight. Our room was large and clean. Comfy beds. The breakfast was wonderful . There was a lovely young girl who came in... More

We stayed at Anthony's for a third time. Each time for five nights. The first two times presented us with just what we wanted: central in Rome, clean, easy access, friendly and helpful hosts, good breakfast and not too pricey. Add to that close to several good restaurants. Anthony's gives us it all. So it was easy to plan where... More

We stayed in an annex unit for 8, though there were only 5 of us. The unit is pretty convenient to find near the more quiet side of Termini and very near a subway as well. The best part of the unit is that it had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 were ensuites! ) and a spacious kitchen area... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
