After much research, I settled on Hotel Moses Fountain, and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a short 12 minute walk from Termini, 5 min from the metro, and along a few of the most popular bus stops. While I do agree that it's a bit of a challenge to find it due to poor signage,...

When booking this location we were very excited because it looked like a unique place to stay! But upon arrival it was very confusing to find the entrance and there is no check in desk! Seemed a little sketchy at first. There are no elevators so you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs so make sure to pack...

Stayed in room number 4 up 4 lots of stairs! Decent sized main room with double bed and sofa bed. Shower room a bit grubby, no tea/coffee facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Charged a fee for checking in after 7pm! Location is good, close to main station. Bit of a mosquito problem, got bit in the room every night! Very noisy...

We stayed their on our honeymoon several years ago and loved it. Great breakfast delivered to our room, quiet even though it's in a fountain, and really unique. When else are you going to be able to tell people you stayed in an ancient fountain?!

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel as we were given a small guest house to stay in which had a spacious bedroom, living area with sofa and dining table a chairs, a small but functioning kitchen and a nice bathroom all very clean. The room was dark and quiet at night and in a good location if you didn't...

Arrival Before booking we had read that the hotel entrance might be hard to find so we didn't have the panic that some of the other travellers have alluded to when we arrived at the hotel. The banner is a little faded and the wooden door has a little keypad at the side so not the hotel entrance you'd typically...

Arriving to Rome Termini train station with our luggage , started to look for the so called "hotel" - it took us more than an hour to find it, after dragging ourselves through the streets with the luggage - it was suppose to take 10-13 min walk from the train station. The reason was because it's tucked on the left...

Breakfast in bed....what can be wrong with that? I was a bit nervous about such a small facility, but it worked very well for us. The location was wonderful, we literally walked everywhere. Out of the three hotels we stayed in in Italy, this one had the best bath. We stayed in the turtle room. It was spacious and very...

My friend and I arrived late at night but found the hotel with ease ( google / street mapped it beforehand). Instructions and map were clear and our room was lovely. I would advise that as there is a number of steps to get to the front door, you pack light if you're not able to lift your own suitcase....

We arrived at the hotel "after hours": the self check in instructions were good, no problems there. But we discovered upon arrival that there were four flights of stairs up to the room, no elevators or ramps available. The room was over ninety degrees, as was the rest of the place. We couldnt turn the AC on or the heating...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
