Only 10 minutes gentle walk to Vatican. Main Rome attractions between 15 and 25 minutes walk, depending on attraction, but can easily be reached by bus or Metro if you prefer. Accommodation is very clean, comfortable and quiet. Very substantial breakfast. Luca is the perfect host - was waiting for us when we arrived and spent at least half an... More

The Hotel has a great location, walking distance from the Vatican. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and it has an excellent breakfast. Definitely, I would come back to this hotel if I return to Rome again!

Room was comfy, and in a great location to see all of Rome. Luca showed us how to get to all the best locations for food and to the big landmarks. There was an awesome fresh breakfast in the morning as well. would stay again

The location was perfect, especially if the Vatican is a central focus of your visit. Safe to walk in the area at all hours, nearby shops accommodate both tourist shopping and practical needs. Luca was a lovely host - even had great suggestions for the best shoe shops! The room itself was spotless, had all the necessary amenities. Have already... More

What can I say that hasn't already been said. The location is superb very centrally located for all sites and places to eat. During are stay we didn't once have to take public transport and walked everywhere. There is a bus you can catch from directly outside the airport which charges about 4 euros each and drops you about a... More

My husband and I and son and girlfriend traveled to Rome last month to attend the Vatican Mass opening the Jubilee Year of Mercy. I made our arrangements last summer after looking at reviews on Tripadvidor. Over the months, owner Luca patiently and consistently answered my many emails, and continued to treat us like family after we arrived and throughout... More

There is nothing more to say except that Luca is amazing!!! This review is coming a little late as I was there last March with a friend for my birthday and Luca made it a perfect! The place is clean and nice and in a perfect location. Still, the best part is having Luca as your host! Every morning he... More

At Your Place was the perfect B&B for me and my family. Lucca, the host, is extremely knowledgeable about all of Rome and gave us great tips and advice for our travels all through Italy. Breakfast every morning was always ready for us and delicious, and his hospitality and kindness was beyond measure. A must visit!

After nearly a month of travelling through Europe, we came to one of our last stops in Rome. We booked B&B At your Place a few days before arriving and although we arrived late to meet Luca at the B&B because we missed a train he was still incredibly nice and helpful. He gave us amazing tips of Rome on... More

After a very stressful start to our holiday, between missed flight, delayed connection, meaning we were very late in meeting our lovely host Luca. Luca had been waiting for well over an hour for us to arrive at our accommodation and he greeted us with a lovely smile and made us feel very welcome. This dissolved all the stress almost... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
