Basic, but clean and air-conditioned room with all the basic amenities. On the fifth floor so no noise from the street despite a street-facing room. All for the price of 40 EUR. From what I searched this is one of the best budget options around Termini.

I went to Rome and made a huge mistake by booking this horrible place. Expedia call centre recommended and dont know why they did to me? No reception first of all and this horrible hotel is a converted flat into rooms in a old building at 5th floor. Service was appalling and the person Alassendra I spoke over the phone...

My fourth time staying at La Casa dell’Arte. It is still a good option for “experienced” budget conscious travelers. The place is clean, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioner works good, all rooms have private bathroom with shower. As with many B&Bs in Italy, the staff is not on premises except to check you in and do daily cleaning,...

Hard to find we had to wait 5 hours!!!! on arrival before someone opened the door (we arrived at 14h00, we entered at 19h00) the owner was really rude and couldn't care less about letting us wait, we also had to pay 12 euro at the station for a baggage locker, which she didn't want to pay back. the shower...

Lovely quiet place. Hard to find - look for the doorbell, do not expect a sign. Quiet and friendly, felt like our own private apartment! Breakfast is very Italian, a coffee and a pastry next door. I recommend for a short stay, couples or a quick trip.

This B&B is not a "regular" B&B experience. Here are my good points and bad points: Good points: -clean rooms -close to the Termini station -cheap room rates -comfortable beds -modern TVs -free, fast wifi -air conditioning -safes for your valuables are provided in the rooms -polite reception from the hotel owner Bad points: -the building and surrounding area is...

STAY AWAY!! I don't know where to start. Probably at the rudeness of the staff. They do not speak much English so very hard to understand...told them I would arrive at approximately 2pm... I had an email at 2:01pm asking where we were because they had to go out. (Not 24 hour hotel) Then...the most frightening night of my life...about...

WE stayed 4 nights here during our Italy vacation trip. It's not a hotel but a european-style B&B so set up your expectations accordingly. I chosen it because of proximity to Termini and all public transport. Price is quite affordable for this area. Rooms are clean, everything is relatively new but not the highest quality. Room size is OK (but...

My 3rd time staying at this property and my 2nd review. Clean, basic, comfortable, and quiet. It is a flat converted into 5 rooms, each having it's own bathroom. After you check in, the staff leaves. You are given the keys to get in and out of the building and the room. Breakfast is a pastry and coffee at the...

For the price, I'm not sure you can do better than Casa Dell'Arte. We were a little confused on arrival as it is not easy to find. You have to take the lift to the top floor & ring the bell with a tiny B&B label. The proprietor showed us our room & gave us tickets for breakfast. The room...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“Most people will probably be happier on the 5th floor, but get a close to the office to make sure WiFi works in your room. If you want a quiet room, the 1st floor rooms are like being in a cellar with thick walls (I actually preferred this).”
