The hotel is located near the central train/metro/bus station Termini. We booked in hotel Fillipo, but we stayed at hotel Simone which is two buildings away, but both are on teh same owner, Mr. Lee. We were from 1-6 Nov. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is coffee/cappuccino/tea and donuts/croissant at a nearby bar. I would recommend this hotel...

The hotel is located in Chinatown near the metro so it is very convenient. We were also moved to hotel sky Roma. As reviewed, once inside the hotel is very nice. The room is super clean and the bathroom was spotless. I must say that the owner Mr Lee is SUPER friendly and helpful, going above and beyond just to...

We stayed in the Sky Roma building and it was great. Metro station close by and easy to get to. The staff was very helpful and told us we could call them anytime. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bigger shower than most in Italy. Great hotel for the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel has very recently been renovated and is a modern and straight forward city hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is based on one floor of an apartment building, so is quite difficult to find and doesn't look much from outside, but once in, it is very nice and...

We reserved a room for Hotel Filippo, but when we got there, the manager took us a couple blocks away to their other hotel Roman sky. It was a half underground room, quite dark. But we were not looking for anything else but a place to stay for two nights to see some of Rome. And for this it was...

We stayed at Hotel Sky for 4 nights. The room is not very spacious, but the security of the place is quite good. Considering I have read a lot of hotel break-ins happening in Rome, this hotel had 2 automatic security doors before you can enter the hotel. Even though it does not look like the conventional hotels we have...

Just back from Rome after spending 4 nights at Hotel Filippo. Overall great location, very clean and comfortable. More like a small apartment. Once we checked out we had a full day in Rome and asked the owner if he would look after our luggage, he did so with out hesitation, we would definitely book this again.

This was overall a great hotel in a good location, just steps away from Termini Station. We were mostly interested in somewhere clean and comfortable to stay in that was close to Metro, and this was the perfect fit for us. Apart from accessing the Metro to get anywhere in Rome, we could easily walk to the main attractions, which...

We spent two great nights in Rome at Hotel Sky (which is a partnering hotel of Hotel Filippo). The room, bed and shower were excellent and it was all that we needed. On top of that, we were provided with complimentary water bottles daily. Even though there is no reception at where we stayed, the hotel owner was just a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“A great firm king size bed for my bad back, extra pillows, clean, clean - highly recommend. Towels a little rough but kind service, daily complimentary bottled water .makes up for all. Earplugs help (but any urban condo you need them). WIFI in room .great for computer. We are in Hotel Simone, one of three hotels within 3 blocks they own. Reserved at Filippino but taken here - all good looks just like picture. Daily breakfast coupon for Miky Bar for coffee and croissant, it is great. Will definitely stay here again. Here six more days and if anything changes will advise. Rome is a noisy city - bring earplugs for good nights sleep”
