This chic boutique hotel in the tranquil Regola district is within strolling distance (along cobbled streets) of historic treasures such as the Pantheon or the Colosseum. Alternatively, in the other direction across the River Tiber are the shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs of Trastavere. Clean comfortable rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars. The buffet breakfast is fresh and tasty. However, the exceptional quality of staff service provides a memorable experience. We’ll be back!

Hotel's Favorite
We had an amazing time at the Monte Cenci Hotel. This is a beautiful hotel, close to EVERYTHING, yet on a quiet street. The rooms are great - very clean and quiet. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a great way to start each day. But the best part is the wonderful people - everyone who works here are friendly, kind, and courteous. They go out of their way to help you in every way. It felt like I was staying with family - even better. There's a restaurant 1/2 block away and many more within a 3 minute walk. The River Tiber is just a block away. Almost everything is a short walk away. Paolo and his entire team treated us like royalty and we can't wait to go back. This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at - mostly because of the great people who work there.

The Monte Cenci is our home away from home on our annual weeklong trips to Rome. The location of the hotel couldn’t be more perfect: within easy walking distance of some of Rome’s great museums and historical sites, but a world away from the bustle of other areas in the historic center. Our rooms have been comfortable, well-appointed, immaculate, and quiet. What sets the Monte Cenci apart from other hotels, however, is the remarkably personal care of everyone on the staff, from Paolo, the General Manager, to his helpful colleagues at the reception desk, to the cheerful staff in the sunny breakfast room (who always remember our preferences), to the cleaning staff. They make us feel welcomed, remembered, and appreciated. We look forward to our next visit and wouldn’t stay anywhere else but the Monte Cenci.

The hotel is very nice, clean, rooms are modern and of good quality, the bed and pillow were very comfy. Coffe is available in the room, which is nice when you get back to your room after a long day. Breakfast is complete and good. Service is very good, staff is very kind. The hotel is located in the perimeter of the touristic district, just across the bridge from the Trastebere district, which we visited in the evening, a very lively place with many restaurants. It is also 25 min walk from the Vatican and from the Coliseum (opposite directions).

Our first trip to Rome. Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is located in a central spot and is within walking distance for all of the popular tourist spots. Staff were friendly and helpful, Room was a good size and nicely finished , bed was king size and very comfortable. The roof top terrace is great for breakfast or for an evening drink after a busy day of site seeing. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel. Rooms are great and the location is amazing. It is located in a quiet street but very close to the main attractions. Staff is very attentive and polite. I booked a room with a tub and it was very good to be able to relax in the tub after a busy day. There was only one tiny issue on our last day when room attendant knocked on my door at 1:40 PM when I had the privacy sign on. She asked what time I wanted service and when I told her in an hour, she said she would be leaving at 2:30 PM. That is a strange thing to do but it did not bother me that much.

If you really want to enjoy Rome in all its splendor, do not hesitate to stay here. As long as the economic factor is not crucial, this hotel offers everything you expect from a category boutique hotel: A reasonable number of well-equipped rooms, well-decorated common areas and in perfect condition, an ideal location and, most of all important, a first class staff always willing to make your stay memorable. From Paolo, its endearing director, to all the waiters, porters and maids, they will make you feel pampered at all times. Rome offers innumerable options to stay, but few have so many positive points for their guests. Truly recommendable.
