We stayed in double-bed room for 2 nights. En-suite. Have small sharing kitchen, lift and free breakfast at cafe downstairs - italian coffee and croissant. Our room quite small, not enough space to put our luggages. Maybe this room only best for only one people. I think the room is 'Oceania'. Near to termini st. and easy to catch shuttle... More

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms are clean and big. But probably the most important thing... it has air conditioning. The balcony with a great view is just the cherry on the topping. We got the best out of our money. And yeah.. Emy is just a great guy :) Always asking if we need anything helping... More

We started our trip with this lovely hostel and came back again at the end! Everything about this place was great! Located a few streets away from termini station- convenient for day trips, metro, buses or even if you're keen to walk- which we did! Breakfast is served from a lovely Italian cafe- best coffee on the trip! Rooms were... More

Great location for all of the sights. Walking distance to everything with nothing more than a pleasant 20 minute walk away. Very close to Piazza navona (in my opinion the best piazza). The room was absolutely fine. Hairdryer was ok, not the most powerful but did the job and they let you borrow and iron if needed. The staff were... More

Stayed a couple of nights at this hotel on the 5th floor. Found it difficult to find so get a printout from Google maps as it is in a side street in a residential area. Very close and handy for Termini though, about 2-3 mins walk from the side exit. When i arrived I buzzed up a few times and... More

I stayed here a while back and have allowed time to temper my review of this hostel. This was my first trip to Rome and if I can give any first time Roman visitors a tip its not to get too paranoid about pickpockets and navigating your way around. Pay a sensible amount of attention to your belongings and get... More

It is a very small single floor 3-4 rooms hotel?. plus point - it is VERY clean. Make sure to come with location map. All buildings are looking same and no body in the area knows the hotel. There are no signboards even. Only a small sign-card along with calling bell. As the staff is not always at hotel, inform... More

As others have reviewed, this is a small establishment in a building and not very well marked. It's advisable to print some directions (we had a Google map) and look for When in Rome on the buzzer by the door as its in a building that is also residential so doesn't readily stand out as a hotel. I should note... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
