Neighborhood
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

I stayed at St. Peter Vatican Rooms with my family for 3 nights. Good thing about the rooms: The room is spacious. Check in and out were smooth. Location is very close to the Vatican. Free coffee. Safe box, mini fridge & A/C are available Value of money is a BARGAIN. Ask Sara about the 2 greatest pasta and pizza restaurants in the area. They are really the best I have tried in Italy A lot of decent and cheap stores, shops, and restaurants around. Things to notice before booking: The gray covers on beds (see photos posted of the rooms) weren’t changed after the previous clients for us. They look a bit old and over used. But we didn’t use it and always took them off from the beds. The sheets weren’t changed on a daily basis although one of them - I accidentally put my shoe on it on the second day and got dirty. The rooms are close to attractions of Rome (2-3 kilometers away), but since Rome needs a lot of walking (more than 10 km of walking everyday), each night when we were going back to the rooms, I felt the rooms are far like 20 km away as we were all tired. No conditioner in the bathroom, Shampoos weren’t stocked. so I bought a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner from a nearby convenient store. I personally don’t mind going there again for the value of money, but I will definitely stay more than 3 nights because Rome needs more to explore without killing myself.

We had a great stay here, with our kids. Very comfortable room, with plenty of space (the beds were extra large and comfy, daily cleaning, fresh towels). We had no problem with accessing the room and receiving the keys - we were greeted and shown around by a very nice young woman. Location was excellent, so close to the Vatican walls.

Was very sceptical about booking this accommodation, shouldn't have been, we were on the 3rd floor, we had communal kitchen area with free facilities, incredibly light and airy and very very clean, our room was excellent, bed brilliant and bathroom facilities excellent, Sara and Georgia were on hand and nothing was too much trouble, they gave us lots of helpful local information, I would recommend buying a roma pass, we bought a 72 hour which avoided all the hassle of queuing to get tickets so we can use the trains, trams and buses at will, I would definitely come back to these rooms as it is an ideal base for the sights.

love this place! It is very clean, modern and nice. The room is spacious. We are a group of four and we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The bathroom is also nice and clean with shower (no baht tub). The location is excellent, walking distance to Vatican. Many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. There is a small elevator too which is pretty helpful in carrying luggage to the hotel. Also public parking is available nearby.

The style of this accommodation is more like a serviced apartment. When you enter the building, there is a small reception desk, a small kitchen (not much use other than to make the free coffee provided), and inside there are a number of rooms. The rooms each have their own washroom. It was very clean and quite modern - very comfortable to stay in! The location was also good, very close to the Vatican City - I actually walked there in the morning to look at the sunrise!
