A charming and beautiful hotel outside the city center. We had a suite in the second floor which had a big, nicely decorated bedroom, entrance room with desk and sofa bed and two large bathrooms. Nice view of the garden. Breakfast was in a lovely winter garden, with small but good selection and well attended by the staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Car service to/from the airport was smooth and comfortable. The hotel is located about 10-20 minutes outside the city center, so you need to take metro or taxi. But the quiet location is a relief after the crowds of Rome. We will definitely return!

Stayed here for 4 nights as a base to visit the sights of Rome. Lovely Hotel, we had a superior room, not huge, but for the price it was a lot better value than Hotels in the City Centre. Huge terrace too. Close to a Metro station it was super easy to get around Rome from the Hotel with options to buy 3 day passes. Don't be put off by the location. Couple of restaurants nearby and a mini-market. Noted previous comments regarding staff and we didn't find this at all. Always pleasant and helpful to us. Breakfast is in a lovely room looking out onto the garden with a good choice of food. All in all we had a great stay. It was a lovely relief when we pulled up outside and realised it was our Hotel, after seeing some if the previous drop offs.

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a RUDE & UNPLEASANT receptionist. She advised us we couldn’t check in as our room wasn’t ready and to come back in a couple of hours. When we made our reservation it was advertised we would have room service, a bar and a la carte restaurant a bath tub - upon asking none of these services / facilities were available at this hotel - and again the staff are rude. We were paying to use another hotels facilities. The breakfast was vile, old food used from the day before and all left out in the heat. Wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel itself was beautiful. After looking at previous reviews, we upgraded to a Double Initiale room for a small price and our room was located on the first floor with a balcony and lovely views. On entering the hotel, it was clean and tidy and staff were very friendly when checking in. Breakfast in the morning had savoury and sweet options, with pastries, fruits, hams and cheeses. The hotel is located close enough to central Rome that we were able to enjoy the central city and local restaurants/ bars also. At the end of the street there is a bus that takes you directly to and from central Rome in 15/20 minutes. The bus runs regularly and was easy to use. The staff were attentive and friendly, the hotel itself was beautiful and the location was perfect for us. I couldn’t recommend Hotel Principe Torlonia enough. Thank you for having us!

Breakfast included was delicious, front desk staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not exactly close to main spots in Rome, but a major subway was only a 10 minute walk away which would get you everywhere. One complaint was the Wifi only really worked in the lobby which normally wouldn't bother me, but as Americans relying on it for travel plans, it was difficult.

The staff were extremely friendly from the first minute, the hotel on the whole, was very clean and the room was spacious. The breakfast buffet is very good with a choice of almost anything. The area is safe due to there being many guarded embassies on/ around the road. It's around 10 minute walk to the Bologna Metro which links you directly to the Colosseum and there's a bus stop just at the end of the road which links you to Termini station where all the main busses to the main attractions start/ finish.

What a beautiful hotel. Small and very clean. We stayed from the 3/6 to 7/6. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Silvia - lovely lady on reception was an amazing asset for the hotel. Nothing was never too much for her. Service with a smile all the time. Only issue we had was when checking out, they added a room upgrade that they said we agreed on. We never but when I told him the number of our room we stayed in, he agreed to with draw it as thats the standard room anyway. Quickly resolved but he was rude with it..

We spent a week at this lovely hotel. The staff are all exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and ours had a spacious terrace. The garden is delightful and unusual for Rome. Breakfast was a very good buffet. Close to Piazza Bologna and its excellent connections to central Rome, this is a great place to stay for those who prefer a bit more space and green surroundings than one can find in overpriced hotels in the centre of Rome.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely room. Looked like an outhouse surrounded by jasmine climbers everywhere. Staff was friendly and helpful and had great breakfast options.
