While doing a European trip, Pompei was our last stop. This hotel did not have much to offer. The bed was very and hard that you only got 2 pillows which were pretty flat that you needed to fold it in half to sleep. The bathroom was very small. The shower was so small (2 x 2) and looked like...

We have stayed at the Calypso twice now. Both visits were lovely, it is small and you get a feel for local life. They have their own parking right by the front door and in Italy that is rare. Rooms are spotless. Showers are small but you need to take into consideration that it is an older building refurbished and...

You do get some noise from the road (mostly cars beeping at the roundabout opposite the hotel). And you can get some noise from the corridor outside...

Booked after reading excellent reviews, stayed here for 3 nights. Small family run hotel. The owners and staff could not be more helpful. The hotel is set back from the main road, therefore quiet inside. It is only about 400m from the second entrance of the Pompeii ruins (in a straight line so you can't get lost). Our room was...

We had planned a day trip to visit the Pompeii excavations and did not expect to stay overnight. We did not have a reservation the owner of Il Principe restaurant personally called the Calypso for us and made the arrangements for us to stay. We were greeted by the owner, a very pleasant and courteous gentleman. We were able to...
