This is a great place in a central location in pompeii. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station (which is also where you catch the bus to Vesuvius), a 5 minute walk to the ruins, and 10 mins to the grocery store. The staff were very helpful lending us a table and chairs and an adapter for our...

It's like fawlty towers meets camping. There's a little man who spends all day chasing pigeons and spraying water in the vague direction of plants... Woe betide you if you've got washing out to dry. The site is used as a car park, so there's random people in and out all the time... Not good for security. On one side...

From the initial contact by e-mail to the final departure the staff at this site could not do enough for us.We visited out of season and there were 14 of us utilising 6 of the sites small caravans, these were very basic but did the job. The weather turned cold and the staff gave us extra duvets and fires. They...

Stayed here from 13 to 15 Aug., motorcycle camping with a small tent. I found the site to be good, really convenient for the Pompeii ruins and the train to Naples and elsewhere. It had a good restaurant which served some of the best pizzas I ate whilst in Italy, and at great prices. The staff were very helpful and...

The camp site is good for the ruins of Pompeii, and that's the only thing positive about this camp site. They treat it as a car park by day packing in as many visiting vehicles as they can, so you always have groups of tourists through the site. The facilities are not great, the showers too small, and staff who...

Would I stay at Camping Spartacus again? Whilst it's nice to stay within spitting distance of the beautiful ruins of Pompei, I'd much rather dig a hole in the ground, throw in a few rocks, a broken bottle, the rotting carcass of a chicken, and jump right in. It would be a much nicer stay. We had a damp, mouldy...

Camping Spartacus or Camping Shitacus? They entice you in with their lovely website telling tails of sunny, grassy, lemon tree, glades, a beautiful bar under grapevines with a sparkling swimming pool. Now for the reality! We stayed in one of their caravans for rent for 4 nights. We found it a bit odd when we arrived that they retained the...

The people were helpful and kind but the campsite is located on the busy road and we were placed near the neighbours air conditioning unit so the noise at night keep us up a lot. They do have a table tennis table with free bats which was hours of fun. Just get to the table early and beat all the...

I spent a couple of nights in the campsite with my tent. The position is ideal : It is only 50 meters far from the entrance of the archeological site and 100 meters far from the station. I found it very well cleaned (especially the restrooms) and safe (always someone in the office).

We had trouble finding this place as it wasn't on Apple maps. When we finally got there we checked in and got the one with no ac because they didn't have anymore with. When we checked in it was fine, clean and smelled good. We closed all the windows and went out to dinner. We then came back and our...
