Lifesavers! We missed our checkin at another hotel and the good people here accommodated us for the night. They held our bags all the next day. Everyone we interacted with on property was kind, caring, and did everything they could to help. The facilities were good enough and they are located close to ferries.

This hotel has a great position in the heart of Naples, walking distance from Cristo Velato, Piazza del Gesú, SpaccaNapoli, Via San Gregorio Armeno, etc. A bit noisy but in an amazing position. Highly reccommended

This hotel is in heart of the Historical centre of Naples within easy walking distance of many cultural activities and wonderful restaurants. The staff are so helpful and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Breakfast was great and our room was huge and clean with very comfortable beds and a balcony. Highly recommended! Will definitely stay here next time we are in Napoli.

We stayed here last year and loved it so much, as well as our entire time in Naples, that we returned this year. Both years we had excellent experiences. The location is superb— in Centro Storico, tons of good restaurants, bakeries, cute shops within minutes of walking, as well as the excellent archaeological museum. Metro station is a 5-7 minute walk, and the Naples metro is easily navigable (better than Rome, for instance). The area is very safe and lively, and as two women we felt comfortable strolling at night. The staff is at the front desk 24 hours which is lovely, and they are all very kind and helpful (we had troubles figuring out excursions to Capri/Amalfi etc and they made calls for us, and we had an issue with the host of our Airbnb for the next leg of our trip and they called and talked to him for us). The breakfast is abundant, very nice and has good choices. Our room was beautiful, had a comfortable sofa included and a beautiful, large and sunny bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The only thing to note is that the Terrazze is connected to the Hotel Neapolis but not the same. There is an elevator that takes you from the ground floor to the Hotel, where the check in desk is. The Terrazze rooms are a floor up, and there is no elevator. Not terrible, but if you have trouble with stairs, book the Hotel. We stayed in the Hotel last year (after they were kind enough to switch us because of the stairs) and can attest that both hotels are wonderful.

A delightful hotel hide in an inside courtyard. The rooms are small but perfect for me as I travel alone. Great little room with a balcony to the courtyard so away from the maddening crowd. Do hear children laughing, Italien singers serenading...all which adds to the charm. Plants everywhere and makes it even more sweet. Added plus it is in the middle of everything to see so walking distance to most sites. Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel!

I had a tiny room with a balcony overlooking a cement patio where kids played ball, but I did see other rooms that were much larger. The room was clean and the bathroom was fine. The breakfast cost 5 euros, but the coffee wasn't very good. I was expecting the best Italy has to offer, but just outside the hotel, cafes and food stands lined Tribunale Street so it was OK. Also, there is a nice restaurant below, a bit expensive but has very nice outdoor seating as well as indoor. The people at the desk were very nice and helped me with the map, in calling a taxi and in calling Hertz to tell them I'd be late. In all, I was quite satisfied with the hotel.

A great spot for Napoli right in the heart of the historic quarter. The rooms are clean and large, if but a little sparse (normal for those travelling through Italy). The bathroom was modern, I would concur with earlier statements about water build up in the shower, but it never seemed to overflow and was always hot. The breakfast was good for Italy with hot and cold options and with good strong coffee available. Location wise it was fantastic, Dante metro station being an easy 5 minute walk to get to wider Naples and beyond. There were only a couple of slightly negative points. I'm travelling with a friend so twin rooms were required, what we got was a double and a bunk bed, fun in someways since I hadn't slept in a bunk bed since i was 8, but a little uncomfortable after an active day. The second was Internet access, not a huge problem since it was good in the breakfast room, but when planning the day out it's useful to have access and in our room (213), it was patchy or unavailable anywhere outside of the bathroom(network Hotel SX). One final note for those that do not know Napoli, it is seriously busy and stays so in the historic district until the early hours of the morning and starts again with people going to work at 6am. The hotel is slap bang in the middle of all this and if unaware the noises, sights, the tooting of scooters riding along pedestrian street and smells could become overwhelming (I did get a chance to learn happy birthday in Italian from the fantastic restaurant in the piazza below at 2am), personally I find it part of the charm of the place, but if peace and quiet is what you want each night either bring earplugs or stay further out - however you will be missing out.

I stayed at Neapolis Hotel with a school group. For one of my classes, our professor brought us to Naples so that we could see Pompeii and Herculaneum. Since we had been coming to this hotel for years through our study abroad program, the hotel knew us to be loyal customers and thought we would probably some back next year, so they overbooked us. Me and ten other people had to stay at another hotel under the same owner a few blocks away for the first night and then move all our stuff to the actual hotel the day after. That was not fun, especially having to walk a few blocks first thing in the morning to get breakfast. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom, but after the first shower, we realized that our shower didn't drain well, so we had to turn it off every few minutes to let it drain. It also took FOREVER for hot water to kick in. When we asked the front desk about getting our drain cleared, they said that they did it every day (not helpful). Then when we asked about hot water, they said we had to just let the water run for awhile, which we couldn't do because the drain was clogged up. From then on, we had to let the sink run for 10 minutes before we could get in the shower to get the hot water to our room. After the first night in Neapolis Hotel, the WiFi disappeared. So not only did it not work well, but it just didn't show up as an option for our devices to connect to. We found out that this is because the hotel doesn't pay to have enough bandwidth for everyone, so when the hotel is filled, very few people get decent WiFi, if any at all. There was also only one key per room, which made it really difficult for me and the two other girls in my room to separate throughout the day. We constantly had to plan about when people were going to be back so someone could let us in. Our room was also always freezing while other students had rooms that were severely hot. A cold room was not fun after having a semi-cold shower. The few redeeming qualities of this place: breakfast was decent, the rooms were clean-ish, and the location was good--only about a 25 minute walk to the water.

We've stayed there three times, and would gladly go back. In October, we stayed in room 211. The room and bathroom were spacious, but there was very slow water flow and drainage in the bathroom. It was a minor problem. We reported it online when asked for a review (not on Tripadvisor).

Let me preface this review with full disclosure. I planned on going to a school nearby for 2 weeks. They recommended this hotel so I asked for a quote for 13 nights. I was offered 50 euro per night non- cancellable. A cancellable option was not offered. I took it. My plans unavoidably changed less than a week later and I could only stay one week. I knew the rules but I hoped that they would be lenient. The hotel has good reviews so I was sure they would have no problem with rebooking the room. I was refused but was given the offer to use the extra days at another time. Who knows when I would be back? My feeling was that not only would they rebook the room but they would also have my payment, therefore getting double payment for the same room. I finally asked that they use the extra payment to at least upgrade the room. I did not receive a confirmation for that request. Upon arrival, I was shown a tiny single room so I guess my request was not accepted. I asked for a change but was told the hotel was booked and a large group was coming in. Obviously, I was right about their not losing anything due to my requested cancellation. Very noisy at night so had to keep the window closed. In the morning, the room was permeated with the smell of sewage which seeped into everything. The woman who was on at night said others had mentioned it, too. I told Marco, the day receptionist and asked him to see for himself. He didn't want to but he did and agreed that the room smelled. He said they would bring in a "technician". That didn't happen. There was no apology or immediate solution. Then he said I could change rooms for 2 nights and then would have to change again to another room. This seemed like a lot of trouble but I had no choice. Much to my surprise, the new room was spectacular, spacious, and luxurious. Marco was completely deadpan. Did not acknowledge that he knew and if I had decided not to move, he still would not have told me! Final room was back to a single, but at least no odor. Morning of checkout, was told I could take a taxi as late as 7:45 to make an 8:35 flight! I made sure I was ready to leave at 7:15 (missing breakfast). Also told not necessary to book taxi in advance. The only guy at the desk then, was totally freaked out about something, pulling out drawers, and ignoring me. Marco showed up but everyone was involved in helping the first guy. Cab co had M on hold so now it's 7:30 by the time I go to meet the cab. Bag check for my flight was closed and my bag was clearly not a carry-on. Running all the way, I make my flight and no one seems to care about my bag. I realized later that the frenzy at the front desk was due to missing keys for other guest's rental car! So...Dario, liked you but don't give airport advice. Marco at desk, loosen up and show a little empathy for guests. Wouldn't hurt to be friendly or be in a different line of work. To Marco owner, instead of criticizing guests for negative reviews as you do on every one, try to learn from it. If I owned a hotel and thought a client had been treated this way, i would have bent over backwards to make it right Overa
