I went to this hostel today to book a room. The front desk employee was awesome, he was very helpful and even got my room cleaned so that I could check in early after a long day. I waited in the common room. The guys lurking in the common room are very creepy and made me feel extremely unsafe! I started sitting by myself, then more came and sat around me. They kept passing notes over my shoulder as if they were trying to touch me by "accident". I turned so that they couldn't and then one pulled up his phone and I think took a picture of me !!!! I seriously felt like they were all vultures surrounding me. There was a whole room and they just so happened to choose to sit all around me. When I got up, they all dispersed. Perhaps they wouldn't have harmed me, but I would not recommend ANY solo-woman traveler to find out. If you're with another person you might be safe. This hostel is also in an odd location and you have to go up a hill and on a winding road to get to it. Cheapest one in Napoli, right by the metro too. So those are positives. I was so concerned for my safety that I had my sister's friend, whom I've never met before, come to pick me up so unfortunately cannot comment on the room.

I read a lot of reviews about this hostel and you would think that the place was falling apart which isn't true at all. Firstly, to get there: Exit the train station and turn right. There will be a road that goes through a tunnel. Take this road and once you are out of the tunnel go right up the hill, behind the train station. Then follow this road and you'll be at the hostel. This hostel previously was setup as a busy hostel or something different as its boarding capacity is quite big and spacious. I stayed here for one week. Initially there was a mistake with my room and booking as I came a day later than planned but I was put into a four bedroom bunk with air conditioning. The hostel doesn't have a kitchen but has a laundry (5 Euros for wash and dry). The power points do work however I found that some aren't in the best order. However you'll be able to have a few to use at minimum. The mattresses were surprisingly comfortable which was great given the cost. Bathroom had necessities (hot and cold water, mirror). Air conditioning was new and worked perfectly. Only issue with the toilet is its design. There is the western style and European style cistern in a small space so your sitting at an angle. Hostel has free WiFi that worked fine for web page browsing and staff were friendly and respectful. The foyer is average condition and same with outside the hostel. However you will not spend a lot of time in the outside of the hostel. Location is very central to the station (about 5 mins walk) and Napoli train station is around 15 minutes. For this reason it is an ideal hostel. So would I stay here again? Yes, given its cost and location. Positives Air Conditioning Comfortable Matresses Really Cheap for Italy Close to train station Friendly and helpful staff FREE WIFI (worked well) Negatives Foyer could be cleaner as outside hostel No Kitchen area Building can get hot in summer (air con in rooms a must) ALSO, I found a great place to get take away lunches and cakes opposite the station (Pasticceria Rosticceria Spagliatelle). The owners helped me find the hostel on the first day and were very friendly and helpful and there food is fantastic for quick snacks and bites. Pizza slices for 1 Euro as well as other pastries. It is on the other side of the crossing directly opposite the train station!!!!! (SEE PHOTOS)

We came her with a group of students from Rome, around 50. Luckily, we only had to share our rooms with peers. We mostly spent our time around and about Naples, and only had to be in the hostel for sleeping and breakfast. Breakfast wasn't anything special, merely a cornetto and some coffee (for which you usually had to pay extra)/water/juice. We had dinner in the hostel once, which was okay. Pretty extensive meal with primo (pasta) and secondo (chicken). The rooms were very basic and some sheets were missing. Internet didn't work in the room. Bathroom didn't seem too clean. Location-wise, the hostel is pretty far from the center. Also, there is a gate to enter the premises, which meant we weren't able to get out of the hostel once in the early morning. All in all, wouldn't recommend.

No lockers, no ac, rooms only have 3 keys for 8 people. Area dodgy as hell and the way to this "hostel" is even worse. Weird dudes hanging around the common area. Open wifi works in common area. There's a reason why they have vacancies this time of year.

I have bunch of complaints about this hostel and none of them is good unfortunilty. When we arrived we knew that it had small rooms but it was way too small for 3 people in a room imagine a small box room but for us to sleep in, there is only one socket in a room, no towels u have to pay (not deposit but give them money), internet is terrible even tho it was on full bar it eventually ended up to not connect to our devices for an hour or more, the room walls are made of cheap hardwood cannot even block sound, had a problem with the internet and asked the reception and he just said "its usual" and completely ignored us, went for breakfast and the first thing he told us that the eggs where finished so we had a plate of salami and cheese which where tasteless and a small empty crossiant finally the location is not that good you need to pass underneath a bridge at night where is completely dark and homeless people are sleeping there. Overall worst hostel I've been to dont do the same mistake me and my family did.

A depressing and institutional feeling building inside and out. Behind the Mergellina station so noise of train brakes is regular. Mergellina seemed nice but the hostel was not in a great part, I would have been nervous walking to it after dark. Clean and wifi are the only positives I can think to say about it, the building gave me the creeps.

The hostel is really cheap in comparison with the other hostels in Naples. In my opinion the standard is not bad, considering how much you need to pay. Of course there are some drawbacks, e.g. only one socket in the room for 8 people or lack of lockers, but I need to admit it's clean and the staff is very friendly. The location is... unusual, I think I'd have problems with finding it on my own (but after all it turns out it's really close to Mergellina station). It's not true that Mergellina is far away from the center - I managed to get to the center of Naples on foot ;) As far as the quietness is concerned, the biggest "problem" are seagulls ;) It's so close to the sea you can hear them all the time ;) To sum up, I'd recommed this hostel to everyone who prefers spending money during the day rather than at night :)

If you want to avoid the noise of the Naples than this hostel is enough. The atmosphere is not good. It is dated. For a one night stay is good enough. The breakfast is not the best. They have wi-fi, although the connection is not the best in all parts of the hostel. The staff is nice, but I've seen best. For the price you can get a better hostel.
