Poor communication from the start as the property was very hard to find. It is on the fifth floor of a very large apartment building and with just a very small sign on the door, which was locked and we had to figure out how to call up to the desk using the intercom for them to let us in. It would have been appreciated if they had shared those details with us prior to check-in to save us the time and anxiety of trying to find the place. Once we got in, the place was very old and run down. Did not feel welcoming at all. The room was the same and there was a terrible sulfur smell coming from somewhere in the bathroom. We then tried to take a shower and the water was at first scalding hot not matter where you turned the handle for the first few minutes, and then it was freezing cold for the rest of the time. Really not a great experience at all. We are not people who need a luxury hotel by any means, we simply look for a comfortable place to sleep and take a shower. This didn't provide either of those things for us. The only reason I didn't give it 1 star is that the man at the desk was helpful enough to call for a taxi for us in the morning and it was a decent location as we were coming from the ferry port that night and heading to the airport in the morning.…
Good value for money, great location, friendly staff and even though some of the furniture and bathroom is dated, the rooms are very well cleaned. It’s walking distance to main tourist attractions and on a busy main road with shops. The hotel is a converted flat in a historic building with private gates and gatekeeper who is there during certain hours. The Juliette balcony in my room had a partial sea and city view which was a bonus. The antique lift, botanic courtyard and marble staircases add character. For the price, I think it’s good. The staff who are very kind don’t speak very well English so be prepared, also the mini fridge was quite noisy in the night so I unplugged it as I wasn’t using it. Thank you.
Fredly, cozy, very clean, great locations. 24 hours excellent servis. Trustfull, safe. We stayed only for 1 night but we will come back in this hotel. The room had a great view and it was in the center of the center. Next to it there is a metro stations, restaurant and everything we need.
Perfect location. The staff was really nice and helpful. Very-very good for the price. Normal room and bathroom. Spa bath looks nice, but didn't try. Nice balcony view. Comfortable beds. On the 5th floor of a building, only a few rooms. Clean, with the necessary appliances. The common área is super.“ :) The only mark: No adv on the street. Little bit difficult to find. On the main street, Next to the café, very big door through the small one.
The location was perfect. The room was clean and cool of a hot couple of days. We will definitely stay again. The guy at reception was super friendly. The hotel is on the 5th floor, but there is an elevator. The elevator says needs 20 to work, but it doesn't. It works by just selecting the floor.
We stayed here for a night as we had a boat to catch in the morning. The hotel is situated a few minutes from the port. So the location in excellent for going into the historic centre of Naples and for the port. We got a official Naples cab from Naples airport which cost 25 euros but you can get a bus to the port for 5 euros each. Firstly the hotel is located in a beautifully restored historic building which looks amazing and has a great courtyard. There is also a lift to the hotels reception on the 5th floor. We arrived late and had no issue when checking in we were met by Alfonso who was very helpful and he spoke great English. The room was a great standard and had many features, clean and tidy and was excellent value for money.
Hotel Le Orchidee is a Quirky hotel, covering the fifth floor of a Glorious old office building. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room had a FAAAbulous view. All of this in a perfect location. Grazie mille.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel! It is a hidden treasure in the heart of Neapol. The hospitality and kindness of the receptionists was amazing, rooms were handy and very clean, with very beautiful views!!! From other reviews, we were worried about the smell, but on the spot we understood that it is not the room itself but simply the smell (character) of the city. Many many thanks! If we visit Nepal in future, this will be our choice for sure!
A lovely welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was spotless and it's position in the city is perfect. The staff are so helpful and friendly. You can almost fall out of bed and you're at the Metro. The lift is a work of art in itself. Before our holiday was finished we were already planning our return trip. Roll on Summer 2020. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
Our room did not have a balcony and was at the back pof the hotel , however we had a great view of the harbour + coastline beyond and could watch the cruise ships come and go . The staff were helpful and the room was big , also clean . It is idealy placed for exploring the city or going on day trips.
