I don’t give a 5 star review lightly but this place deserves it! Their staff was extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. Even walked me to the local farmicia to translate cause my wife rolled her ankle and I wasn’t sure how to describe what she needed to the person at the counter. They moved us quickly when we said our first room smelled like smoke, they remembered my sons name, our room number, etc. They were more than willing to help us book our ferry tickets to Capri, give us recommendations, etc. Also, it was our anniversary trip so they upgraded us and left us local treats in our room with a note congratulating us. The hotel is centrally located, close to the metro, ferry port, and city center. The breakfast is good. Your typical Italian breakfast. The hotel gym is an ACTUAL GYM. They partner with the gym next door so it isn’t just your average hotel gym. Finally, they have two pools and 1 was actually warm. Not hot like you’d expect a hot tub to be necessarily but warmer than most Italian hotel pools/“jacuzzi’s”. I highly recommend this hotel and will to everyone who wants to stay in Naples.

Given the current state of Europe's upcoming travel season, I wanted to highlight a few of the best reasons to keep your summer holiday / vacation plans. Naples is a great destination, and the Renaissance is a luxury option. This hotel has a beautiful property, a real gym, well located, and the rooftop restaurant makes sunrise breakfast very memorable with Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. The breakfast buffet is done well and the food is great. I will be posting an update later this summer about this hotel just to keep everyone up to date, given the situation. Again, Naples and the Renaissance are definitely reasons to keep those plans for summer 2020!

My friend and I decided to try the O Break restaurant at this hotel as we had heard that the food was good. We were given a table overlooking the ground floor lobby. Having considered the menu we decided on a main course each. Sadly I am gluten-free. The waiter was not sure if the dish I ordered was, so I said that if it wasn’t then I would have the same as my friend. Soon afterwards the two similar dishes were placed in front of us with no attempt to explain that my chosen dish was not gluten-free. Apart from a quick taste of our wine no waiter ever appeared to pour it during the meal, or made any enquiry about our enjoyment of anything. We decided not to have a dessert as the atmosphere was cold and sterile so we asked for the bill. We were told in no uncertain terms that we couldn’t put in two cards for the bill, I gave the waiter mine and he took it away to the desk..... and shouted “what’s your PIN number?!”

Dear Marahny, first of all we want to thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are really sorry to learn what you reported and above all we are surprised because usually the service in general in a restaurant and the dishes to taste are what our guests praise and recommend to try. In fact, we also want to inform you that our restaurant is in collaboration with the Slow Food Campania Alliance. The experience described does not reflect our standards of service and hospitality, in fact we want to assure you that we will not fail to inform the manager of the F&B department of what you have reported to us, there will be an internal briefing and corrective actions will be taken in order to not repeat this kind of inconveniences. Therefore, please, accept our sincere apologies. However we appreciate that our guests give us criticism in order to further improve our service and for this we thank you for your review, precisely for this reason we kindly ask you to write us at our address, reception@mediterraneonapoli.com, for more details on your experience. Dear Marahny, we hope you will be kind to give us a second chance and have the opportunity to give you another image of our hotel and our restaurant. Best regards, Roberta Marozzi

Great location despite Naples traffic. Lots near by to walk to for food, parking garage is under the hotel. Rooms are clean and the staff are A+. my only complaint, which is out of control of the hotel, is Italys government regulatory control over the airconditioning...IT SUCKS. But outside of renting your own house, you're stuck with the mandate. Anyway, I like this hotel, the Marriott brand is good to me, and its good to be back in this neck of the woods in Italy.

This is my third time in Naples and enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is not far from the waterfront and other nice places. The hotel is clean and modern. All of the staff I encountered were very nice and professional. I will stay here again.
