My brother and I stayed at this place for a week in January. The hotel is clean, inviting and has a great staff. They have a complementary morning breakfast and nice size rooms. There is a mini fridge in the room along with a tub and bidet. The tub is narrow with a sloped floor, which made showering treacherous. The doors to our room were very hard to open. My biggest complaint was the so-called ‘high-speed’ Wi-Fi, which was either nonexistent or slower than a pigeon with a broken wing. Multiple complaints failed to fix the problem. My brother had a handicap-accessible room but unfortunately the heat would not turn off and the temperature stayed above 90°. For some reason this could not be fixed during our stay and they gave him another room to sleep in, but he had to go back to the original room to take a shower. Again, not sure if this is an Italian thing or why things take a week or two to get fixed.…
Great location, but issues with water leaks in the shower let me down. If the duty manager wish to contact me whilst I am here, we can have a grown up conversation. I reported the issues and nothing was done to fix the issues. Anyway, I am currently staying in the hotel and duty manager can contact me at room 252. Thank you.
We booked two rooms as a family, one with a sea view and a second standard double room. They made us wait 30 minutes at the check in, to finally tell us that the second room was not ready and that we had to wait 40 minutes even though it was 3.15 pm. We expressed our disappointment and they decided to punish us. So they gave us a room on a different floor with the view you can appreciate in the attached photos. Absokutely inacceptable, far from the other room, kind of a creepy place… To make matters worse we had to change the keys every time we came back to the hotel. The keys have been desactivated twice in a day… A disaster of a hotel..to avoid
Some great plusses and some great minuses. The poor stuff; there was a business conference the weekend we visited and so our bubble burst upon entry. The foyer was packed with nutritionists at a convention. Not the hotels fault but just be aware that if you are expecting something cosy with a holiday vibe you might be disappointed. The shower is an over-bath shower, that’s fine if not ideal but it’s really narrow, even my wife said so and she is a slender little minx. The breakfast. The sign said “poached eggs”, my wife asked and the man at the egg station said no. She walked away with scrambled egg. It was cold. Lastly, the doubled bed. It was two singles pushed together. I get why but it’s not ideal if you use the bed for more than sleeping. In good news, the location for Napoli city centre is excellent, you are in the middle of things in ten minutes. It looks out on the the bay of Naples and a castle, you can see Vesuvius. Has a little balcony with a table and two chairs; delightful. Two pillows each! Light the beacons of Gondor! Such a pleasant surprise! Staff were very laid back, in a good way.…
we originally booked this hotel before the virus, we paid for our rooms and they gave us a credit which we used this october, the hotel was great and the staff was very friendly, great location in front of the castle on the bay of naples.
Very nice hotel located along the water. Balconies face the waterfront with a couple chairs and a table on each balcony. Large, well-appointed rooms. Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.
The promenade in Naples is beautiful! Restaurants are over the top delicious, and the Royal Continental was a great place to stay to enjoy Naples. The hotel was super clean and the room was nicely appointed. We were given a corner room so we had two balconies with fabulous views of the bay and castle. Breakfast at the Royal Continental was delicious! There were many choices available. Definitely recommend!
I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Continental. I had a room that was directly in front of a castle. At night, a different color light illuminated in front of it. I had a wonderful view of the sea and Mt Vesisus. I would definitely stay here again for the right price. The hotel is not a 4 star by American standards. The only improvement needed is the hotel room is a little dated..i.e. small bathtub/shower, older finishing. But, the view of the castle and sea made up for the older conditions of the room.
We had a decent trip with them. Amazing location, breathtaking views Convenient for Catching the ferry Great staff who helped us with booking a very reasonably priced tranfer from Naples airport Which happened to be on time and comfortable
My wife and I made the mistake of believing the misleading pictures and description of this hotel. The pool picture is a complete photo shop by the way. There’s no view like that. It’s in the middle of the hotel and gross. I’m actually embarrassed that I’m even being charged for this stay. We stayed for two nights and were the most uncomfortable we have ever been. In fact, we were so uncomfortable with your hotel, that we packed up our bags and moved next door to the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia. I informed hotel management, however they did not seem to care either. So we left. This was UNACCEPTABLE. I WILL BE PLACING THIS REVIEW ON TRIP ADVISOR AS WELL. Our stay was booked from - Our Air Conditioning was broken - Our TV did not work - The Bath Tub “jacuzzi” was broken - We did not receive any cleaning service - The room was filthy and had flies in it. - ONTOP of The hotel being under construction - I believe I also overheard a customer stating her room was robbed as we left too. GROSS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I am still waiting to hear from hotel management/ownership in regards to even being charged for this awful experience. I would also like to know the reason for why this hotel was in the condition it is in and charging the expensive rates they charge to visitors. BE VERY EMBARRASSED!! TAKE MY ADVICE. STAY AWAY!!!…
