The bedroom, though small, had the most spectacular view of the marina, castle ruins and mountain. The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. The minibar was well stocked. The breakfast was beautiful and fresh -- with a huge selection of authentic Italian cakes and pastries. Everything was delicious. Just there for one night and a great place to... More

We had a lovely room on an upper floor -- overlooking a marina, an old fort and, on a clear day Capri. Breakfast was good; staff service, recommendations and directions were excellent. The street in front of the hotel is closed to normal traffic and is alive with people on weekends, out for their normal stroll (passeggiata)or socializing. We found... More

A great experience in Grand Hotel Vesuvio. Perfect place to stay directly on the ocean! Super view and warm place to have nights. Perfect for business trips or business meetings. Close to downtown and to movida as well !

I had stayed at a lesser hotel when I first got to Naples, which gave me a impression view of the city. When I got to the Vesuvio the next day, my opinion of Naples was immediately turned around. The hotel has an amazing location with a 180-degree view from Mt. Vesuvius across the whole gulf to the north. It's... More

We were at the Grand Vesuvio at the end of September and fell in love with it. I can't understant that it is not rated a 5 star hotel. Everything about it vas wonderful. The pool is to die for. The restaurand and the food was spectacular. The rooms were perfect and really are much better than a 4 star... More

We stayed only one night, and got a room with breakfast included for 200Euros, but the same room was 900Euros the next night so we moved on. I loved the hotel and the people, but i am not sure I would love it for 900Euros worth. Having said that, this old place, apparently opened in 1882 or thereabouts, felt quite... More

our last night in Italy we stayed at this beautiful hotel. After a hysterical cab ride from the airport, (think 4 women with a lot of luggage in a small car) we arrived at the hotel about 10pm and were very warmly greeted by the folks working at the front desk, they wanted to hear about our cab ride and... Beautiful location, overlooking Bay of Naples. Big clean hotel, well maintained. Nice spacy rooms, with fridge and safe. Bathroom: good, but no overhead shower, no tissues. Hotel misses warmth, cosiness. Favourite hotel for groups . Main complaint: restaurant. May be good for individual guests, but apart from one excellent buffet menu, the menus for groups were very average. Every day... More

Outstanding. First class. Bay and gulf view, castle view, walking distance for people who like to walk from a big piece of the city. Loved Naples. Don't go there expecting it to look like Rome or Capri or Tuscany. Think of it as an Italian version of a smaller New York circa I don't know what decade. A port city... More
