The hotel is situated by the sea in front of a charming old castle. We arrived by private car with no one to greet us at the door. We had to go in to get someone's attention for help with our luggage.

A few shops but if you want anything serious from a shopping perspective (eg clothes or a large supermarket) you would need to take a taxi. We were there for 4 days and only took a taxi to and from the railway station.
