Two thousand years ago, an Ancient Roman residence, as testified by the column dominating the entrance to the hotel. At the start of the 20th century, a Liberty style villa, the chosen refuge of artists, intellectuals and all those looking for an exclusive hideaway. In 2006 a complete restoration and renovation transformed the building into a boutique hotel in which to experience the traditional hospitality of Capri's most elegant villas.

Choosing to spend the little time we had on Capri at Excelsior Parco was the best decision we’d made. We were greeted by two very professional but personable gents—Gianpiero and Peppe, and for the following 24 hours, they made sure our visit was absolutely wonderful. To check us in, they invited us to their garden (pictured) and offered us a bubbly and munchies while they took care of the rest. The sea view from our balcony was exactly what we were promised at booking, and the sunrise and sunset made the view even more magical. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, breakfast was brought to our room, and we were able to enjoy it on our balcony. And the boat tour they arranged for us was top-notch from start to finish. Though we only spent 24 hours on the island, many thanks to Gianpiero and Peppe, we were able to enjoy many highlights of Capri. The only regret we had was not making our time on Capri a little longer.

We visited as part of our honeymoon trip to the amalfi coast. From being welcomed with some lovely white wine to leaving with a pack of goodies for the boat to Positano, we were treated with such friendliness and kindness. Very helpful guidance on what to do / see and the hotel helped us arrange a scooter and private boat tour. Very responsive with any questions. Shuffle service and pick up from the dock is amazing. We were very kindly given an upgrade to celebrate our honeymoon and it was beautiful and view out of this world! Many hotels in the area are hugely expensive and whilst Parco is not cheap we felt it represented excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I stayed here with my partner to celebrate out seven year anniversary. From the very beginning, the hotel made our stay easy and enjoyable. They picked us up from the port with no delay, provided us with welcome drinks and snacks on arrival and upgraded our room at no extra cost. The room was stunning, peaceful and clean. Although the hotel is a little pricey, I would say that it is fantastic value for money for a number of reasons but particularly because of the shuttle service that takes you to and from the centre of Capri at your request. This operates throughout the day, is incredibly convenient and the driver was an absolute delight. I've stayed at a fair number of hotels but the breakfast at this hotel was probably in my top three of all time. It was delicious and plentiful - we didn't eat again until dinner because we were so full! Throughout our entire stay, I felt like the hotel staff tried to take every opportunity to make our time in Capri as special as possible. We were provided with a contact number so that we could message them if we had any questions as we were out and about. One night, at about 10pm we couldn't find a place to have dinner (because the place we initially intended to go to was fully booked), we messaged the hotel and they responded immediately was a fantastic selection of restaurants to go to. It made us feel valued and made everything so much easier for us. Thank you again - we had the best time!

We returned to a much loved villa in Sorrento this year and after taking a day trip on Capri in 2019 decided that this year we’d take another day trip but this time stay over ...and my god we were not disappointed!! On entrance we were met by a lovely lady who sat us down in the beautiful gardens, while Pepe (a credit to this luxurious hotel) introduced himself and brought us complementary bubbles 🥂 .., the lady then explained the island to us in great detail, even recommending a restaurant with panoramic views for the evening which we promptly booked. On mentioning our recent engagement, reception swiftly upgrading our room to include a terrace hot tub - giving us the choice of two rooms to pick from in the process!! The hotel comes with a complementary driver, a Sri Lankan gentleman who became another credit to this incredible place, and could be called upon at the drop of a hat during our stay which was an absolute god send when moving around the island. The fine details and architecture are second to none, the breakfast magnificent, the roof terrace stunning. My fiancé didn’t want to leave! Needless to say WE WILL REURN. Thank you so much for an incredible stay. 11/10 James & Toni (UK)

We got upgraded from Casa Gaia, which is under the same management. What an experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and very classy. The even better thing about it is the staff. They will make you feel welcome on Capri from the first minute on. Upon arrival they will pick you up and provide free transfer to the city or the harbour throughout the day. An introduction of the most important sights will be given to you while you sip on your welcome drink. Ask them about some recommendations for restaurants - you won't regret it. Especially Buddi (an employee from Sri Lanka) is a really cool guy that will do anything for you to have a great stay. The hotel is lucky to have him. The breakfast in the morning is equally great as the drinks in the evening. You can tell they only use good and fresh products. I've been to many luxurious hotels in countries that are famous for their hospitality but the Villa Excelsior will always be one of my favorites. I can tell why this is ranked no. 1 of Capri!
