Just returned from our third trip to this glorious island hotel. Superb service, comfortable accommodation and the most contemporary interior design. The best of italian food enjoyed on a sun drenched terrace with views down to the sea. Good pool and very attentive pool attendants serving drinks and light refreshments. Very well managed property with polite and helpful staff always keen to help. The warmest of welcomes extended and the longer you stay the more you will love this hotel.
Very beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, and an amazing 5 star service. Oliver was great with scheduling and follow ups. You can reach him 24/7. Amazing concierge service. The hotel has a beautiful breakfast view and wonderful staff (Mohammed speaks multiple languages , easy to communicate with, and ver friendly. Always ask for him) Wonderful stay. Looking forward for next summer.
The most incredible staff and hotel. Facilities were all very clean and the food was great! Highly recommend this hotel and it’s central location to the main square. They also helped arrange taxi cabs for us to and from the ferry (though they were a bit expensive, we found it worth it)!
Luxury, Quality, Classy, Modern, and Superb! Stayed at the palace and celebrated our birthdays at the Terazza Restaurant. All I can say is that we had a fantastic time. The hotel, the restaurant, and all staff members were just wonderful- all very accommodating. What an awesome crew! Wish we had stayed longer but had to leave the island for another. PS, Terazza should be Michelin star rated. Seriously amazing food, service, and they really know how to run a restaurant. Just SUPERB! All the best to the Tiberio crew.
Off The Scale PERFECTION…a FANTASTIC hotel My wife and I have never experienced a hotel quite like this. The Tiberia Palace is truly exceptional. With 45 rooms and suites the hotel standard of service reminds me of the 113 room/suite Sandy Lane in Barbados in terms of sheer quality…except Tiberia Palace does some of it even better… Never have I experienced walking through hotel corridors which bring so much joy. The visual delights are endless and that is just en route to your room or suite…around every corner one finds artistic and design perfection with the most evocative photographs. This hotel has a real sense of place which makes you feel at home and not want to leave. There is nothing remotely bland about any part of Tiberia Palace,…the design by acclaimed architect Giampiero Panepinto of Milan is one of a number of key elements which makes this hotel so wonderful. The design is beyond elegant, it combines a high retro fashion style with a standard of comfort and attention to detail which delights and cossets. The entire atmosphere is compelling and must be experienced to be appreciated…and that is before you reach your room or suite which are equally full of interest and surprises, from the unique ceilings, inspired homely details to the classy way the huge television screen disappears. As for the showers, they are phenomenal. While the hotel is beautiful inside and out with perfect views it is the exceptional level of service and the ultra-high standard of everything that easily make Tiberia Palace a MUST visit…if you want to experience the heart of Capri this is the best hotel. There is one other great hotel in Capri but that is down by the beach and we would find that a little boring as beach holidays are not the reason most people visit Capri. THE BREAKFASTS: These are simply unbeatable. The hotel’s pastry chefs create the most stunning array of fresh cakes and pastries using exceptional ingredients which are irresistible. The fresh orange juice is as good as it gets, the hot dishes delicious and the exquisite service is unbeatable. Comfortable seating on a beautiful terrace with wonderful views make it difficult to tear yourself away… with the result that we enjoyed two hour lazy and indulgent breakfasts every day, it was all so lovely we didn’t want them to end as we overindulged on the huge selection of incredible cakes and pastries. THE ACCOMODATION: As with the breakfasts, the design of the accommodation is just so welcoming, homely and enjoyable, you have to tear yourself away to enjoy other parts of the hotel. Once experienced you just want to stay longer. Housekeeping is as good as it gets, you will see what I mean when you get there. It goes without saying that beds and furnishing are beautifully designed and comfortable however after decades of stays in top hotels throughout the world, the accommodation at Tiberia Palace makes my all-time Top Ten. Lovely bathrooms…and somebody has been told to design the perfect shower, it could only being improved with lighting effects… otherwise this is a shower to win over even those who prefer baths…and they seat 2. CONCIERGE SERVICE: First rate. Serena and Mario have totally got it together. Everything they arranged went perfectly as I’m sure they knew it would. THE WELCOME: The hotel provided their complimentary Meet & Greet service at the port of Capri which was seamless. How wonderful to arrive at an incredibly busy port and feel looked after instantly with luggage whisked away from the moment you disembark, overseen by the Hotel ‘s Ambassador waiting for you. Complimentary cable car tickets for Capri’s ‘Funicolare’ are provided or you can take one of Capri’s famous, stretch convertible taxis. The cable car is a fun way to reach the hotel although on departure we used one of the island’s unique convertible taxis. Arriving at the Tiberia Palace is such a pleasurable experience from the moment you set foot on Capri. We particularly enjoyed our stroll to the hotel, from the Funicolare, where we stopped en route to do a little shopping. The welcome on walking through the hotel doors was so warm and inviting and from that moment, until the time the hotel ambassador arranged for our luggage to be carried onto our departing hydrofoil, was a complete joy. We loved the recommend restaurants outside of the hotel. THE SPA: we only stayed for two days however the spa looks most inviting and we will definitely book pre-book treatments next visit which will also be longer than two days. THE RESTAUARANT: wonderful wine list, exceptional cuisine, one of the best restaurants on Capri. Dine at the restaurant in the evening for a truly romantic, close to private and relaxing experience. Hardly a criticism but I was very amused when on arrival, while enjoying a welcome cocktail, I was told that guests who are pianists are encouraged to play the grand piano in the bar. I would have been happy to do so but to say their piano is out of tune would be an understatement. It is horrendous and should be placed in a skip. I have found that pianos in seafront hotels sometimes need regular tuning however this particular piano is beyond hope. Quite a good solution would be a Yamaha electric grand model which sounds like a concert grand but will never go out of tune and looks good. I have one in white in a family penthouse by the sea, it is the perfect solution. Everything you would expect in a top hotel is here. After decades of staying so often in top hotels I find that so many hotel properties have special plus points, but not e and it is all a compromise, very few top hotels have great breakfasts or more for the showers or off the scale fabulous service… very rarely do hotels completely blow your socks off… until you experience something very special…and this is it. We actually stayed here by accident…a most fortunate accident. We’ve only visited Capri once before on a day trip and strolling around we noticed a grand looking hotel sporting a row of flags. We presumed that this was the top hotel in Capri…apart from a boutique hotel down by the beach which we knew of. I just could not remember the name of it, nor could I recognise it from photographs. When we booked the Tiberia Palace I actually thought I was booking the hotel with all the flags at the front in a busy part of the centre, which is in fact the Grand Hotel Quisisana. Once resident at Tiberia Palace we took a look at this other hotel. A manager kindly showed us around. Had we been staying there we would have been disappointed. My wife and I will definitely be returning to Tiberia Palace which we prefer on every level. Having read some of the years old TripAdvisor reviews I find these historic reviews irrelevant as none of the minimal criticism from years gone by is now valid as it is a completely different hotel. It has taken the highly talented and inspired new owners, clearly on a mission, some years to reach the level of perfection they have attained. What has really cracked it for them is bringing in current hotel director Oliver Hutten. That was the icing on the cake as this talented manager clearly inspires every member of his team. Room service is superb and any needs are answered swiftly. The staff can’t do enough for you and they do it with such genuine smiles and warmth, they clearly all enjoy being part of the team. We have looked at a few other hotels on the island and while they are all very nice, they are nothing out of the ordinary for expensive Italian hotels, most of which can be relied upon take good care of their guests. Tiberia Palace is in a class above the rest and as such is a destination in itself. Beautifully positioned, sheer class, with all guests clearly enjoying their stay. While I’m sure families would enjoy this hotel I feel it is perfect for adults and couples. Given the high standards of service and accommodation provided, this hotel is also remarkably good value. Thank you to the management, the owners and the entire staff for our most enjoyable stay.…
I cannot say enough about the Capri Tiberio Palace! I researched greatly prior to our visit and the hotel grounds and staff all were fantastic. The rooms are lovely and the hotel itself including the pool area, lounge, sitting areas are just perfect. The location is away from the main square which is a huge plus! I would absolutely come back here first on a return visit. This is comfortable luxury at its finest.
The Tiberio Palace is a fabulous jewel in Capri! A chic boutique hotel in a historic building located a few minutes away from the center of Capri’s main piazza. Beautiful views, high level of customer service, delicious food and drinks, attention to detail - this hotel does it all right! We loved our stay and feel it is the best place to stay in Capri and hope to be back!
There is so much I can say about this hotel. From the step I walked off of our ferry from Naples, to check-in, to the first step in our room (thank you Mario for the upgrade!). First I will say one of the managers, Mario, said it best “we believe our guests great experience is because of our amazing staff” and he was 1000% right. Mario was amazing and I can write a 5-star review just for him. Second, the staff at the hotel is great from the cleaning crew, to the servers at the pool, breakfast crew, to everyone! Every corner we were greeted with a hello and always asked if anything was needed. Third, our room was amazing, though we were upgraded, compared to our hotel in Positano (see my review on Hotel Villa Franca), is night and day. Spacious, clean, always had a nice ocean breeze come through. Felt like it was home. Fourth, after a long travel day from Montepulciano to Capri, the hotel made sure someone was there at the dock to greet us, took our heavy luggage, a detailed map to get to the hotel (including the gondola tickets to get up to the square) and said “don’t worry about the bags, I will make sure they are in your room” and sure enough an hour after check-in (we walked around the city), they were there. Again this hotel is magnificent and I’m already planning my wife and I’s next anniversary trip there. Every penny spent was worth it and I will not hesitate booking again.…
While we were in Capri, we stayed at the Tiberio Palace and could not have had a better experience. The room was spacious and had a beautiful terrace for us to relax and take in Capri. The staff was extremely helpful in every way. The concierge recommend an incredible restaurant in Anacapri that we never would have found on our own. When in Capri, stay at the is hotel and have a wonderful experience.
A beautiful hotel with great staff and all the comfort you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The luggage transfer was very efficiently organized on both arrival and departure. Additionally all requests were handled most professionally without any fuss.
