It was so beautiful that I wanted to stay and live there, the view, the professional service, the welcome drink, everyone was so kind and helpful.
I really want to comeback and stay there for a longer time! It's a wonderful experience.
We booked to return to this hotel before we left. It was that good. Lovely room, fantastic staff, really warm welcome. We couldn't fault it. One nice touch is the aperitifs they serve early evening. There is good choice and it's a nice start to...More
The friendly welcome at the La Minerva by brothers Antonino and Luigi was just the beginning of an outstanding hotel experience. The rooms are beyond lovely, the view of the sea is stunningly beautiful, and the delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace is served by...More

I agree with Brian M. that day trips are a hassle. Best to spend 4 nights in one spot, as each town offers lovely hikes and views. I have been to Capri 10+ times, most recently for a full week. There is plenty to do there, if you like to walk. Positano is fun for no more than 2 days. I love Calabria: Monopoli, Lecce, Alberobello. Unlike the Amalfi Coast, Calabria is a region in which you can stay at one place and make day trips as long as you have a car. The drive from Naples is about 2 hours and easy, and the Bari airport is a good hub.
