We were immediately overwhelmed with all of the people when we got off the funicular, however, La Minerva is off the main path, which was fantastic. We stayed by the pool by day, had Aperol spritzes and whatever Kamal made us to snack on. Kamal...More
My husband and I travel quite a bit for business and personal reasons. Sometimes, we find excellently cared for properties with just okay service, while other hotels are just okay properties with excellent service. But La Minerva...well, this place truly has it all. Of all...More
My husband and I stayed at La Minerva on our honeymoon, and we wish we could have stayed forever. Luigi, Antonino, and Marco arranged every single detail - we didn’t have to plan one single aspect of our time there or worry about anything. Our...More
Stayted in Hotel La Minerva with my wife during our honeymoon in April 2018. An excellent hotel from top to bottom. Delicious fresh breaskfast every morning, lovely pool area to relax, beautiful views overlooking the ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful across the board. Waiting...More

I agree with Brian M. that day trips are a hassle. Best to spend 4 nights in one spot, as each town offers lovely hikes and views. I have been to Capri 10+ times, most recently for a full week. There is plenty to do there, if you like to walk. Positano is fun for no more than 2 days. I love Calabria: Monopoli, Lecce, Alberobello. Unlike the Amalfi Coast, Calabria is a region in which you can stay at one place and make day trips as long as you have a car. The drive from Naples is about 2 hours and easy, and the Bari airport is a good hub.
