Some places hold a very special type of fascination. Almost always they are places of indescribable beauty, because what ever words you choose will fail to convey the sensations aroused in you. This is what we are proposing, a unique luxury place in Capri and daring design, sculpted out of the rock face, where no two rooms are the same and where nature reigns supreme in a natural setting where space has created a stronghold of incomparable beauty where emotions constantly surprise and delight.

Detailed Reviews
The Hotel Punta Tragara enjoys a magnificent position on a cliff at the tip of the Punta Tragara peninsula. Our room had a wraparound balcony with an unobstructed view of I Faraglioni and the sea. Sitting on this balcony, after a vigorous day of sight-seeing, with a glass of wine in hand, was like a dream.
The hotel, designed by Le Corbusier, has a quirky layout; seemingly every room is different. We paid for only a deluxe sea view room but still got a separate seating area, a huge bathroom, and a large closet.
Service is excellent. It’s a small hotel, so everyone recognizes you. Breakfast is served in an impressive, light-filled space (the same as the Le Monzú restaurant), and the breakfast offerings are ample.
The hotel is a twenty-minute walk from Capri Town, but the walk is so beautiful that’s not a drawback.
Yes, the Punta Tragara is expensive, but if you’re ever going to splurge, this is the place to do it.

We arrived at the hotel in October for my fiancé’s 50th Birthday. The reception is classy, clean and staff are welcoming. We were served with a complimentary lemon drink and then shown to our room. We were also given a Capri cake to welcome us to the hotel. Room 55 was a new room and it was amazing. It definitely has the wow factor with views of the famous faraglioni rocks. The area lunch is served has comfy sun loungers and other seating area. There is 2 pools and one is heated. Drinks are pricey but when you are staying somewhere like this it reflects the venue. They have a range of Gin’s and the bar attendant came to you and served your drink. The music met my taste of music listening to Sade and other smooth classics. At breakfast we were given the option of the buffet or something from the kitchen. Food was amazing and the pastries were fresh. The only things to be aware of is the pigeons at lunch and wasps but the staff help with using a smoking pot to keep them out of the way. In Capri you need to take mosquito sprays and ointments because it’s an island there is a lot and they are quite vicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to visit again soon.

I would have given this 5 stars except for the final night when the guests were made to feel unwelcome, as a private event was being set up. We had no problem with the area being closed from 5.30pm. But we were sitting having a drink and people were in our face and making a racket. I think when you have paid a premium for what is one of the best rooms, you deserve to be treated better - and when I mentioned it to the manager he couldn’t have cared less. What a shame as the rest of the staff was wonderful. As was the Michelin Star Le Monzu

My stay at Punta Tragara left me disappointed although the hotel is ideally located and the view is amazing from most (but not all) rooms.
This is is the kind of place that may be worth it if you opt for a suite and don’t mind the inflated prices…
For over 1000€ per night I expected true luxury, and didn’t get it.
Our first room (Deluxe) had a rather nice view but was on a lower floor and close to the place where tourists gather to look at the view…and we had noise all day until late in the evening…
Also, since it was located on one of the lower floors, we had noise everytime guests above us used their bathroom…quite unpleasant in a luxury hotel.
One of the electric plugs was faulty and the TV would not work, an electrician was sent to our room to take care of it, but again it’s not what you expect from such an expensive place.
On the second day we half a lot of noise from another room (loud music), not the hotel’s fault and they agreed to move us to another room.
The next room (Master deluxe room) was better located on one of the top floors, with a larger terrace and better view. Unfortunately the room itself lacked any personnality…it didn’t feel like Capri at all.
As for the service, it’s very professional but nothing special for such an expensive place. All in all, yes it’s a beautiful place, but soulless, and it’s not worth the price (1300€ per night for a sea view room with a small terrace !)

We stayed here in October of 2019 for my 60th birthday. Honestly it was so splendid. Everything. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The accommodations were to die for. We had a beautiful suite with an amazing terrace overlooking the Faraglioni Rocks. This hotel sits atop a very high cliff overlooking the ocean and the view from every part of the hotel is magnificent. La Fontelina Beach Club sits at the bottom of the cliff. It's one of the most exquisite places I've ever been. It's a bit of a stroll from the hub-bub of Capri, which is why we booked it. We don't like crowds. So we would hang out at the hotel, or the beach club below, our out on a boat all day to avoid the crowds. And then of course Capri is magical at night after all the cruise ship and ferry-over folks leave. I loved this sooooooo much more than the Amalfi coast. That' was way too crowded. Although our hotel on Amalfi was gorgeous with an amazing suite, there were just to dang many people to even enjoy it. The staff at this hotel was excellent. I was planning to return in 2020, but then...ugh. I am looking forward to a return here. And Tuscany!

My husband and I stayed here mid May 2024. We planned a 3 week trip to Italy and are so disappointed we didn’t stay in Capri longer. This was our absolute favorite hotel during our trip, We were here for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The hotel arranged transport from the airport in Naples to the ferry there, once we arrived in Capri our luggage was transported to the hotel. We were driven to the town center where we walked the 15 min gorgeous walk to hotel. The staff was incredible! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and waitstaff were so professional and kind. The breakfast was very nice and included an array of different pastries and other cooked items but you also had the option of ordering from their menu. Before we went out each night we would stop by the bar where they made the most fantastic cocktails. The staff always recommended the best places to go-Capri Rooftop, Aurora, etc. I wish I could remember the exact employees name she was so helpful. Regardless they were all fabulous and we can’t wait to return to Capri and this hotel.

We had visited as part of our honeymoon in September 19. It’s a very iconic hotel with a glamorous history, charming with a chic entrance hall and modernised comfortable rooms. We had a balcony with outdoor seating overlooking the pool. The sense and energy was very relaxed, low key, with lots of trees and greenery adding to the sense of privacy. The breakfast setting by the pool was spectacular, overlooking the ocean, and the food very good, with a vast and delicious selection. I do find the mornings particular captivating in Capri. The walk to the hotel from Capri town is very pretty, lined with flowers and citrus fruit trees, and takes you past several trendy high end restaurants. Conveniently the hotel sits somewhat above Da Luigi ai Faraglioni, it is quite a climb down (and back up) in the heat but the views are dramatic and spectacular. It was my second visit back to Capri and it’s as charming and timeless as I remember. It is priced accordingly!

Very nice hotel and has lots of accommodations, as it should be for the price ($1,300 plus a night). The staff was always ready to help (10+) during our four-night stay—a complimentary morning breakfast to order or buffet with a view of the bay. I recommend getting up for that.

We kicked off our 30yr anniversary celebration in Capri, and the Punta Tragara was a winner! The hotel is in an ideal location while staying on the island. When you are arriving, I highly recommend their services for getting from the airport to ferry, and upon arriving to the island their services from the ferry to the Piazzetta. It was well worth the expenses. Their staff was kind and attentive, especially Gretta. The rooms are beautiful! If you want your days/nights special in Capri....Punta Tragara is the real deal.

Gili Beauty Spa is a must visit when in Capri! The spa is located inside Punta Tragara Hotel, a 5-star hotel in Capri. My wife and I visited the spa twice for relaxing massages while on our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, and it was evident they truly cared about our health and wellness. Will absolutely visit again!

Dear Melanie, we apologize, no shuttle service the hotel is located 10 minutes walking form the center, total pedestrian area
Good morning, the walk is pretty flat with the odd step or two. And it's well worth it as the views are great. It takes 10 minutes or so and the hotel arranges for your bags to be transported. It waant a problem for us and in many ways added to the feeling of splendid isolation.
Consiglio contattare direttamente la struttura poichè su TA tipicamente gli host non rispondono.
